looking to get some body armor. I went though the old posts about body armor but half the links are dead. Any recommendations as to what you guys have and experiences with it? Vent, flexibility, durability...

Are you speaking about leathers? Or more of the aftermarket padding.

got the leathers, looking for some after market padding. Something along the lines of shoulder, rib, back and the likes. Preferably CE approved. Saw some motocross armor that looked good but I don't think that would work. I'd like to get into racing next year so hopefully something that will carry me into it but I'm not holding my breath. At the rate I'm going I'll prolly need a new suit;-p

what do you think about this? http://www.mineolamoto.com/eshopprod_cat_2296-21904_product_226088.FUSION_BODY_ARMOR_SHIRT.htm

I would go with Alpinestars or Dainese.

That won't fit under your jacket will it?

I just have my spidi back protector and with it in, my jacket is pretty snug....but then again, my belly taking all the slack out of the jacket too haha.

I've heard some bad things about Icon's quality (zippers falling off, seams ripping, helmets falling apart...) but I don't have any personal experience with them. The Alpinestars stuff seems to be where it's at.

I've been wearing the SixSixOne Pressure Suit for under my textile gear for the past year. It was a bit bulky but the protection was akin to wearing a tank. It would never fit under my one piece leathers. I have even worn it alone on very hot days. The air just blows right through it.

Your leathers are a bit loose, so it might fit. You are more than welcome to try it on. Pressure suits, tops and bottoms are fast becoming more popular.
