smoke when wet

at the risk of sounding like a newbie, but up until recently i wasn't a rain rider, got all the good gear now. when it rains and i'm stopped at a light, the bike smokes a bit and i can smell what i thought might be antifreeze, but in dry weather nothing.. i'm assuming its just the rain hitting the engine right?

Close, it's probably water boiling/evaporating off of the radiator. The front tire sprays water directly on it.

and the smell of coolant would be right then. thanks glen

You do tend to get that smell even though it really isnt coolant. Nothing to worry about. Just wait till you get someone telling you that your bike is on fire! haha

lol yeah it was smoking pretty good for a bit today rain was really coming down
