a modification a year in the making.... is finally done..... ive had this undertail sitting for about a year or so, give or take a month... i bought it almost right after the purchase of the busa, and ive never installed it. I also have a hugger sitting around collecting dust, and i think it will continue to collect dust, cuz i dont think i want it on. I also had some grips sitting around, purchased about the same time as the undertail, and i put those on today as well. Integrating the rear tails was a fun job, a trailer wiring converter bought for $13 at checker did the trick, and a few splices and some solder and shrinktubing later, and it works! Then i had to fab up a license plate mount.... texas has these inspection stickers you are required to have, so when you buy a new bike, you get this thing added to your plate, which is aluminum and worked perfectly.

ON with the show....

fucking sexy......

I got the same one for mine. I am happy with the fit but the lights aren't very bright. Turns are integrated right into the lights with about 1/3 of the LED's, so it didn't need the additional integrator.

I hope you didn't need to completely remove the storage tray. I only needed to cut about the back 1" off of mine.

i had another reason to completely remove it...... lowered 4" plus my 300#s and riding 2 up witha 6' tall chick causes you to lose half the bottom of your trunk, and more than half the contents.... (tire ate right through the trunk) lol.... so i didnt need it anyway. on the plus side, i think i can block off the open areas with some screen and regain a bit of storage space on top of the undertail. mine didnt come with an integrator or light sockets, just the houings... i had to re-use my sockets.

Since The undertail is lower than my storage tray it seems like you might be rubbing the undertail also. Gonna need to change that set up a little bit. I also have the tire hugger but it doesn't hug the tire enough and it comes about 2" from the undertail so it's a dust collector.

Denver cops gave me a ticket for having my plate mounted sideways on my chainguard. You can just see it in the bottom of this pic. Since it was daytime and they couldn't see the light they didn't think it was bright enough. I have a spot LED shining down from a hole in the undertail. Gonna have to check the laws to verify position laws. The cops even stated that I was profiled because the bike was "modified." When I pulled off another cop flew up beside me and pinned me in like they thought I was going to run. Wasn't 'til I took the helmet off and they saw this old man getting off the bike that they relaxed. Bastard still gave me a ticket for it though.
