Camera... check... mount...check... Lets roll

Aight folks.... so i finally got the mount the other day, meanwhile ive been dicking around with the camera getting used to its functions and even found the USB drivers to get the video onto the computer. Today after work i installed the mount, washed the bike (quickly) and mounted the camera. I took some video of me running up and down marksheffel, 3 passes, then came home and took a few pics of the finished product, then pulled the cam off and took a few pics of just the mount. Its not pretty, but it gets the job done.

Sideshot of the camera mounted.... i thought it might get in the way, but it didnt.... i am quite pleased. Also, its a good idea to tie off the camera just in case the screw comes loose, i thought the vertical slot was conveinent for this, and i just used the strap by unhooking it from the front and wrapping it back around.

saw the vid great quality imo, microphone was really affected by the wind. it was better quality than my vid, i made. but! the camera needs a tad tilt down to show the top speed if you do more top speed runs. to show max when its done. looks great, that would be great also on that ride this sunday, with tons of bikes in it. nice, i bet you can wait to shoot more video.

I think that once you get that all-in-one card the video will improve and you could always put some music so that you don't hear the wind as much. Nice Vid though!! :up:

fa sho..... this is just a rough draft, my first vid with the setup, all in all it cost me less than $226 including shipping for the camera and mount, and a 2 pack of tapes. As soon as i get some free time ill learn some diff editing skills and whatnot and learn transition effect, titles, and dubbing music in there. Ideally, i'd almost like to mute the mic and put my ipod music in it and record it as i listen to it, so you can get the full effect of what im feelin..... LOL

Theres one for your bike.... by the way, the seller makes these mounts for most sportbikes, and he is truly a class act. If you purchase from him, tell him I sent you ( he will know me by my alias, as it is the same on ebay - phl0ater). My only experience with him was a good one.

For clarification, i bought it and paid for it last week, and it hadnt gotten here yet, so i e-mailed him to confirm that it had indeed been sent, and he said it had. He told me to let him know if I didnt get it by the next day to let him know, and he would ship me another one for free via overnight express. I told him it wasnt necessary, that i would just wait for the other one, cuz id probably get it about the same time as the overnighter got here. He e-mailed me the next day with an overnight tracking number, and i got it the next day. So either he mailed it and the PO lost it, or he forgot to mail it, either way he made good on it, and thats a good seller in my book, even if the latter happened and he told a fib to save face... he sent it to me and paid $15 to get it to me the next day.
