Thanks for the ride guys. I was the slow one on the Blue Superhawk by the way :turtle:Did you head back by way of I-70 to Denver from Idaho Springs? You weren't slow, my gear box got stuck in neutral and my brakes went out going down from Echo Lake (why do they call it Echo Lake anyway?) to Idaho Springs.

Yea, I just took I-70 back. Well, since that was the first time I had been on that road to Echo Lake and I only have about a year of riding experience I was taking my sweet time. That and those bicyclists have obviously never learned the meaning of single file...

Yea, I just took I-70 back. Well, since that was the first time I had been on that road to Echo Lake and I only have about a year of riding experience I was taking my sweet time. That and those bicyclists have obviously never learned the meaning of single file...Especially around the corners! Nothing like winding around a turn (at the posted speed) and finding yourself with three bikes abreast and a car coming the other way--going around another bicycle.

It was defineately a good ride--weather was perfect, the CC parkway was just breath-taking. No tix in the group that went through blackhawk...

I suppose I haven't really been "active" in the forums, but semi active in the rides...besides, I took some heat from some guy in a camper that decided I was going WAY too fast down from Evans to Idaho Springs. It just so happened that I was actually doing the speed limit when he saw me; it isn't that I am not guilty, just that I wasn't guilty there. Anyway, I shall post more often...
