changing out tank on a 01 gsxr1000

I am changing mine out and the new one doesn not have a fuel pump so I will have to use my existing one. Has anyone here done something like this before and is it really difficult?

nah, it's cake, just be gentle when you pull the pump out of the old tank, it's a snug fit. there are just five or six bolts holding it in and a rubber o-ring makes the seal. no gasket material crap is necessary. the bolt pattern is staggered so you can't bolt it back in with the fitting pointing the wrong way.

Yeah it really is very easy. Just dont snag the o-ring. be gentlie and its all cake from there.

got the old tank off and the new one back on, wasn't that bad at all :)
