ya, the "mellow ride" had the wind gusts on C-470, the light rain, more wind and chills, then the wet spring snow, oh and more wind.

I think the mellow ride was to "trick" all the riders into encounter every weather scenrio possible.

There was abot 22 bikes broken into 3 groups, it was good times minus the cold wind!!!!

We need to do this again with the wind and snow, finish the ride up to estes.

That pic is of me pulled over telling Cycle Monkey that, ummmm... "this don't look good".

:) Good times indeed... meeting all and chowing at the pizza joint in Golden - but the weather was absolutely NUTS. Sun, Wind, SNOW(!!), Sun, and oh... did I say WIND??

After the middle/last groups turned around, Frank (Cycle Monkey) and I went ahead to see if we could "catch" the lead group - NO WAY. The snow was coming down too hard, too fast for us to proceed safely... we HAD to turn around ourselves. Sorry to Bueller and the guys - we had no way of letting you guys know what we "decided" to do for the sake of safety - we had to make that call.

Hope we can all ride again... Estes is a GREAT ride - let's hope mother nature quits drinking that tequilla the night before... she had some sense of humor today! :)

There's a Beemer stuck to my ass!

Great ride with a bit of a added challange. Great to meet some new people.

We kinda figured the back group 180'd.

Seemed like a good idea at the time
