I have a feeling that this thread is going to get pretty hammered, but in light of that, I still feel that this is a great thread for the curious minds.

I find myself calling Scott from time to time to ask a few tech questions. I figured, "Why call the guy when all of us can cash in on his vast knowledge? If that doesn't work out, we can always ask DK and pray that his advice is correct." (Even though DK has been pretty invaluable lately.)

Anyway I thought I would throw this up and see what happens. You da man, Scott!

Scott,

What... is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow?

Is it an English or an African swallow?

Why don't you just show up at his door in your lingerie with flowers?

and i was going to PM scott for some info.

seem's i am having a bit of sticky shifting.
it's sporadic to say the least.
sometimes from 2nd to 3rd and ocassionally from 1st to 2nd.
what are the causes of sticky shifting?
is it a notice my clutch may be going out?

Step one: cut a hole in the.....whoops, wrong thread.

Step one: buy a decent rear shock. the stock Hawk shock sucked and there was no good way to make it better other than buying a new one. Check these guys out, they do custom work that's really good.

Could be that your clutch cable isn't adjusted well. Try taking a little slack out of it and see what happens.

Dana (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000534/): Excuse me, so called "bike mechanic". Is there something wrong?
Scott (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000129/): Yes ma'am, the data on the Kawi is inaccurate.
Dana (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000534/): How's that, Mr. "Bike mechanic"?

Scott (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000129/): Uh, sorry DK. WEE happened to see a wrecked Kawi doomed for the crusher turn into a beautiful dream.
Dana (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000534/): Where did you see this?
Scott (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000129/): Uh, that's classified.
Dana: It's what?
Scott (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000129/): It's classified. I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you.

Scott,
Can you review KEN's maintenance program for his motorcycles? For some reason we can't get through a canyon ride without loading at least one, if not both, of his bikes onto a trailer :)

I'm considering offering a very special "Yee Service Plan" to them for this very reason. Much like the GOLD plan you had for the 10, only with actual service being performed.

If you ride it so it stays charged (or keep it on a tender) it should be fine. Just don't park the bike for months and let the battery run down and freeze.
