My racebike (GSXR750 with some mods and lots of weight loss) ran a 10.88 at Bandimere at the import nationals a few years back ('02 maybe?). Can't remember the mph, seems like it was in the 120 range.

I'll be there next Wednesday, the 11th. I'm pretty stoked. First time down the 1/4 mile on a bike. I'm hoping for at least 11's.

Yep, we know but for $15.00 and all the runs you want to make, it's quite a bargain. We have quite a few customers from Ft. Collins and New Mexico which come down or up and they rave about it. It's pretty laid back and so far the racers that come out say it's the best time. They get their bikes tuned and bring another so they can run heads up. Great place to grudge (sp) race. Better than the street so think about joining us at some time we would love to see you at the tree.

I did a 12.3 @ 113mph on my old 2000 F4i at Bandimere.
Oh, mods were Jardine slip on.
That was fun.

I have a 2004 zx10r with a stock motor, just a slip on pipe and custom fuel map, nothing else changed really and ran a 10.37 @ 131.92 cuz i let off the throttle early and before that ran 2 runs at 140.9 mph and 60' times of 1.7s

That's good to know for comparison. I know the bike the way it sat before sprockets was easily capable of a mid 12.

$15 and all the runs you want? Are you talking like 30+ runs a night?

Oh, and the only time I did any 1/4 mile stuff was on my 01 zx7r. I think my best time was a 12.3 @124ish. No clue on anything else. My worst time that night was 13.3 but that was on one wheel from the Christmas tree

I don't think they are doing the Wednesday night thing anymore. I made 20 -30 runs in the Evo in one night last year at one. I was even taking breaks between passes.

Well, I just moved back here from Tucson last October. I ran my 06 Gixxer 750 down there a couple times. At the time I ran there my performance mods were just two bros pipe, pcIII, and BMC air filter. I went -1 in the front with a 520 chain conversion since. I'd like to run it a couple times, I've also lost about 20 lbs since I ran it too. One of my best times in Tucson was 11.788 sec at 126.34 mph. The track I went to kicked you off the track if you went above 125 mph and didn't have a full leather suit and kill switch on your bike. Do you guys know what rules Bandimere has?

Dont do -2 in the front. just go up in the rear. I had a 1999 cbr600f4 and did -2 in the front and my time didnt get better. The chain strains too much. i went bigger in the rear and got quicker. I think i had -1 in the front and +4 in the rear and got 12.1's consistant.

I'll take my 04R1 up to bandimere to see what she does after I change the gearing to +4 in the rear and run a 520 chain. I have a 2mm over bore with J&E forged pistion kit and full Arata exhaust BMC Race filter power commander tuned for NOS and have a 45 shot of nitrous. 205 RWHP. Wooo hooo

I would give anything to run a real drag bike. I go every year and watch NHRA and always take a walk to check out the drag bikes.

Well being nice goes against all my principals, but ok............

As tempting as your offer is, I think after we both rode each others bikes to their full potential we would both regret it.

Crashdaddy

Stock 06 GSXR1000

48 degrees ambient, not sure of track temp(cold). Pretty bad tire spin.

11.27 at 122 mph

60 ft was running in the 1.90's

reaction times so bad I am not even going to mention them.

Now have -1 and plus 2 sprockets, power commander with dyno tuning, Yosh exhaust, timing retard eliminator, and BMC filter.

Haven't tried the new set up, but my bet is I'll go slower. It wants to wheelie and spin at the same time, and the damn Suzuki clutch is unpredictable and grabby when hot. Gotta fix that soon.

I just ran bandimere tonight. It was my first time ever so I was quite clueless about everything.

The bike:
naked 1989 Yamaha FZR600
42,xxx miles
Stock gearing
K&N air filter
no mufler, just header
635 lbs with fuel and rider

Times:
R/T 1.357
60' 2.317
1/8 9.145
E/T 14.040
MPH 99.11

I wasnt too concerned with the R/T, I just wanted to take my time and launch as best as I knew how.

Also, Im pretty sure my valves are tightening up too much, cuz it has appropriot valve symptoms. I didnt shut it off all night, fearing it wouldnt start agian.

Mods for near future:
new chain, -2 front sprocket, stock rear sprocket
valve adjustment
the rest of the fairings
fresh tires

-Marsh

Edit: Just ran again tonight. Best run was a 13.19sec @ 101.5mph. The launch is getting better, and I have done a bunch of mods since last time. The funny thing is earlier this afternoon, i put in the smaller main jets. It got rid of the dead spot around 7000 rpm and really helped drivability as well as 1/4 mile times.

I pulled off a 10.6@135 on my 2005 hayabusa with a 1.85 60', and it was just lowered, strapped and smallbox modded with slip-ons at the time. I'm still working on the 60', but after adding an additional 6" to the WB with an appropriate tire and better gearing, I'm shooting for that low low 10-sec barrier before the winter is here.

Mods that matter:
M4 ti 3/4 exhaust
PCV w/ Tune
BMC race filter (not re-tuned since install)
-1/+3 sprokets
7.5" stretch
Lowered 10mm front/38 back (ran non strapped)
Cordona PQ8 quick shifter GP style
SHITTY Battleaxe tire

10.58 @ 137 w/ a shit 1.7 60'

My limiting factor is traction, i ran factory rubber and would be doing a rolling burnout every launch and couldnt get under a 1.7 60. Im planing on a shinko DR next season, and hope to crack a 9.9 or faster if I can cut a 1.4 60
