Abso-fricken-lutely beautiful!!!

Did you know that part of the movie, "What Dreams May Come (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/What_Dreams_May_Come_%28film%29)" was filmed in Glacier National Park?

The scenery in your photos, Ben, is breathtaking. Like I said before, I was only 8 or 9 when I was there last....so, it's been a long ass time and I need to go back, now.

Got any stories to share with us about your journey, Ben? I guess I'm just looking for more enticement.

the Trip was just amazing. I was worried about having a sore ass after the first day, but I was good through the whole week. Most of the riding was very beautiful except for a few 100 mile treks we had to hump out and get to a destination. Lots of Pretty mountains, rolling hills, rivers.

The weather was perfect. The only bad weather we had was on the first day. It looked as if it was going to rain, so we threw on some rain gear and went - got 2-3 rain drops on the windshield and it turned back great.

Up in Yellowstone/Tetons there was cool animals to see. If you go to Yellowstone.... Go see everything else besides old faithful - I got pics if you want to see it. The color pits(?), when we rode by you could see colored steam - we didn't have time to stop :( If you are going through Teton NP, make sure you take the left side of the loop... really close to the Tetons, and its freakin awesome.

The couple problems we had... First day - Pillow fly's of Don's bike, we stop get it, put it where it wont blow out. Then later my leather jacket flew off my bike. we bungie'd it down better and kept going.
Going through glacier it was a pretty rough ride in some spots. Me being the responcible rider and all, had all my gear on - Pants boots, gloves, T-shirt, well my helmet was strapped to the back with a bungie, and in the rough road I think my gear shifted and the bungie got loose. I hit a pothole/rough patch and I hear something behind me, I look and see my helmet 5 feet in the air cartwheeling into the other lane at 40mph :(

All together the trip was fantastic. I got back and wanted to do another 2600. here is some more photo's. I have over 100mb of photo's that I am looking at framing a few. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v624/flyb0yo21/Glacier%20NP%20Trip/

Wow. I need to come up with an awesome trip now...maybe for next summer. With my son graduating and possibly needing to move, I'm hoping to still be able to do something. I've got an aunt in Oregon I could possibly visit/make an excuse to see and would be able to travel through some really nice scenery.

Here's to hoping.:)

Thanks for sharing, Ben.

That is Lake McDonald Lodge. Rooms start around $100 a night, go up to around $150 a night. Not a very nice motel, but the setting can't be beat.

I am currently looking for a place to print out the Panarama picture, but kinko's and smaller places can't go as big.

Who on here can print larger photos? Shoot me a PM please.

Yeah, thanks for the reminder.

A poster on my wall at work says, "Hold on to your dreams. Your day will come." Corny, I know. It fits with the age-group of students that I have. Today, that poster and those pics fit with me as well. Sure makes the idea of next summer that much more exciting.:)

Oh, and I don't know any place that prints large photos...sorry.:(
