his wife called 911. The dispatcher basically was playing 20 questions with her. I realize that it's their job but for crying out loud. But you could tell he really wasn't in any hurry to get help out there.

Then again this is the sort of the thing that the "Anti-GUN" people believe in. They are starting to believe their own bulls**t. Look at the time that was wasted while she was on the phone and scared out of her mind. The husband did the right and went out and iced this guy. But oh no, the gun control crowd want you to use speed dial while someone is in the house. What would have happened had the perpetrator been armed or found them. You can tell by just the time on the phone he would have had plenty of time to kill them and get away.

Course this guy was probably only wounded. So he'll go and get treatment. Maybe go to jail, pending his lawsuit against the 71 year old man that shot him. And then he'll be back out and ready to do it again.

I've got to agree with Mr. Nugent on this one. I don't like repeat offenders. I like dead offenders...

At least the old man had the proper protection and he was there to defend his family.

saying that the dispatcher didn't seem to believe or care is a crap way to put this.. From the very beginning the 911 operator after getting the address verified states "Im sending someone now"

All he was doing was staying on the phone with her getting as much information and up to date information on the problem as it progresses. This Operator did his job and did exactly what he was suppose to do. So as for the whole thing about him not beleiving that is false.

The operator is just a dude on the phone. All he can do is ask questions. What more do people expect him to do? He dispatched the officers and kept on top of what was going on. Thankfully the guy shot the intruder cause being his wife did not tell the operator her husband had a gun, there is always that small posibility that the old man would have been shot by the officers when they arrived on scene.

If you dont understand why he could have put yourself in an officers situation. You arrive onscene to a burglary where the intruder is in the home, you go in weapons drawn and you come around the corner and see a guy standing there with his weapon pointed in your direction..Think your going to stop, ask the guy if he lives there? Chances are slim your going to react and make sure that your life isn't the one that is takin.

thats bullshit when theives/burglars, Criminals sue for getting shot "while they were robbing, or pillaging a person or family." ciminals get away with too much, if this guy was wounded he was lucky, my friends armed and ready for intruders.

Thats why I'm an NRA Instructor, So that when the time comes..If it comes the people I train will keep themselves and their family safe... I had a Anti-gun guy tell me that if his home was broken into and if he got his ass kicked he would rather have his wife and young daughter killed or raped before he would own a gun. I was like WOW:shocked: your a sack of crap. He then told me that (his wife and daughter) would get over it.
Horay for that old man, NRA and CCW.
