The CSC has been wanting to be a major player in a charity event locally, and it's here! In case you're not aware of this thing yet, Racing 2 Save Lives is happening in a week and a half at Second Creek Raceway from June 21-25. We're having a week-long endurance race, to raise money for five children's charities. Rather than re-quote everything I'll put the URL to our website here, so that you can read about it:

http://www.racing2savelives.org

How does this involve you? WE NEED VOLUNTEERS! There is now a signup form on the site (click the 'I want to Volunteer' link), if you can spare a morning, an afternoon, or even an entire day, please sign up! We need people there to help us run this event safely and properly, so that we can meet our goal of $250,000 raised towards the charities. As an added bonus, all volunteers will receive a free T-shirt commemorating the event, and a free pass to the Friday night party at Second Creek (food, music, and a screening of "Faster"!). Plus you'll be helping out some kids who really need it.

Please go sign up now! A lot of you had already expressed interest on this board previously - now I need you all to actually go sign up, so that I know when you can all be there.

Thanks!!

Well, evidently I don't read well enough, because Donna straightened me out! I just learned from her that this is from sunup to sundown, so I will be there after work each day! Probably around 17:00 or so. I have skills in corner-working. :dunno: :D

So... is this just gonna be the Mike and Kristyn show? Who else is in? You don't have to work all 5 days...

SCR is at 88th and Buckley. Basically take Pena Blvd like you're going to DIA, but get off at Tower Road. Go north on Tower to 88th, then west to the bottom of the hill. Go around the turn (you'll be on Buckly now), go to the gate, turn in. You can't miss it. :)

1-5 is looking a little naked all week. C'mon people! Do it for the kiddies! Do it for free rides on the TeeT'R!

I take it these are the loaner bikes? My bikes not ready for the track yet so this sounds good. I will figure out when I can make out and sign up on the R2SL's site.

Actually we had some people sign up for mid-day, where we're really hurting now is the early morning and evening (like 5pm on) slots for volunteers. Also all day Friday is a bit light for the number of bikes we're gonna have out there.

Just a hint... ;)

Dude. I'll be sleeping to the incessant barking of my neighbors' dogs from 0630 to 1400 on Thursday and Friday. I'm down with the cause and everything, but OT is OT ;)

Somebody else should take the hint! :D
