Just got back from a nice evening ride up Lefthand Canyon, Peak to Peak, and Hwy 7 to Estes Park, then 36 back to Boulder. I was kindly joined by Jen, Susan and Steve on an all-Honda get together. Here are some pics of the bikes at EP (prepare yourself Dana):

Here's the whole set of bikes:

And finally my 1985 VF1000R:

It was a great ride, bested only by the company. Looking forward to doing it again soon.

I almost rode my yellow Suzuki, just to piss them off.:alien:

So I thought I'd skip some stoplights and take I-25 home. Mistake. I got on south of Mead at like 10:15pm, didn't get off it in Fort Collins until 11:11pm. Freaking road construction. Either there were no signs warning of the delay, or I didn't see them in time to get off... ...so I did miles and miles of that speed that's too slow to let the clutch all the way out.:scream1:

Entertained myself by looking at all the Hardleys on trailers heading north.

Hmmmm, I swore that was you guys after 10pm coming down 28th, I was heading back up to Adams (N Boulder colorfull houses) after picking up and dropping off a couch. But afterwards I thought, naw, that can't be them, it's almost 11 haha.

Damn, you guys/gals must have had some fun out there.

Yeah, 287 once you're north of Longmont really isn't that bad.

reverse?

Is is just the picture or are there really light scratches on your mid fairing?

Yeah, my tires picked up all that gnarly rubber gunk on the track. The middles are worn back flat, but still all the trash along the edge. Usually chicken strip edges are pristine, mine are thrashed.

Holy crap, I just had to go outside and look at my fairing. Not scratches (::whew::), just dirt and smeared back water drops. It poured on me on my way out of FTC yesterday. I really should try washing that thing sometime.

Hey, Dirk, thanks for posting the pictures, and thanks for leading a fun ride! I need to check out that Left Hand Canyon again... that was a new route for me, pretty cool!

Jen, it was great meeting you! I LOVE your bike! I think I am still drooling over it... but that's OK, right... as long as I don't drool ON it?

Steve, great riding with you again! I hope we can all get together again sometime!

My pleasure. Yep. Lefthand is a fun ride. The Sun glare was a little tricky at times but it was fun running the Beast through there. Approaching Pilot's Tuna Boat in weight but damn quick with that 16" front tire.
