Tune-up for my 01 kawi ninja ZX9

I want to make sure that is tuned and I was thinking that I should change the plugs and maybe clean the airfilter. I know that I have been riding thru some dusty roads and half the bugs in colorado have been getting bounced off the windshield. I bet some of them have gotten into the ram air. But I am not sure how to start.

Ok here is what I did.
I changed the oil and filter.
Changed and gapped the spark plugs
Cleaned the airfilter and reoiled it.
Then I synced the carbs.
It runs like a champ and only took a few hours too.
