Only place I've ever seen in Colorado that looked remotely like that was the south side of Douglass Pass (highway between Rangely and Grand Junction). Great riding road (the Pass, that is), but I can tell from the look of the mountains that ain't it.

Looks like Scotland to me - but the roads are in too good of condition to be Scotland!

New Zealand maybe?

I believe it is Stelvio Pass. Could be mistaken, but it looks familiar.

You may be right.

The pics there look like it...

But then there's this view of it that makes it look like it's NOT it - unless that is - Google is wrong about this being Stelvio... Whatever it is though --- dig this one:

I was going to say I rode from santiago to the Tierra del Fuego in South America and the roads aren't that nice!!! Mostly pretty crapy back roads throughout South America (at least 10 years ago it was).

If you want to see some amazing scenery and roads - check this out:

Just be warned - even looking JUST at the pics - be prepared to invest a good hour or so. Some of these are just AMAZING!

I think it is Stelvio; you are seeing the back side, which is not as radical as the other side. Great ride if you are ever in the area. I lived in Germany for 3 1/2 years in the mid 80's and had my 83 Interceptor with me. Great riding, but it takes a little getting used to the speed of traffic.

that has to be in europe somewhere, where roads are paved for enjoyment... somethin the US just doesn't get.
