Littleton, CO – September 13, 2007 – Racing 2 Save Lives returns to Colorado after a successful first ever East Coast event at VIRginia International Raceway. From the four day event this past August, R2SL donated $20,000 to children’s charities in Virginia, Kentucky and North Carolina, bringing the total donations to $90,000 for the year.

“Traveling across the country to VIR, we knew would be quite a stretch for us. We are so glad we did, with so many volunteers and participants going above and beyond the call of duty to make it successful. We were thrilled with the hospitality and support that Josh Leif, GM of VIR, his crew, and Cameron Gray with M1 Entertainment extended to us”, remarked R2SL President Sharon Foxworthy. “We also had the great fortune of having Glen Goldman of Team Pro-Motion and his staff volunteering as our rider coaches which gave our participants even more value. The participants are already asking us when the next event is happening!”

Over 120 motorcycle riders joined R2SL at its fifth event since 2004, logging thousands of miles to help children’s charities. Professional racers Eric and Ben Bostrom once again offered their services as rider coaches for two auction winners. In addition AMA Pro’s Tommy and Roger Lee Hayden, Jessica Zalusky of Kawasaki Team Green, and Chaz Davies from Celtic Racing also made appearances and met with participants in the paddock during the event.

Racing 2 Save Lives is proud to support to a number of children’s charities, including: Make-A-Wish Foundation of Colorado and the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central & Western Virginia, the Ethan Gillam Foundation, The Glycogen Storage Disease Foundation, The Larry H. Miller Charities, and Cystic Fibrosis.

Racing 2 Save Lives, which is volunteer driven, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting children's charities by raising awareness, involvement, and capital within the motorcycling community through donations, corporate sponsorship, and fundraising events.
