Its basically the GP6 with mirrors and lights. And slightly detuned. Your ZX9 was based off of MOTOGP technology from the late 80's.

Yeah, not really. Not even close.

Its really cool, but dump $60k into a new GSXR1000 and you would have a much better bike in every performance department.

Dump $60k into a gixxer and its not a gixxer anymore it is? Other than in name and fairings? Just ANOTHER inline 4 litre bike?

By then you'd have replaced every piece of the bike with post-prod it wouldn't even be the same machine you started with.

THAT is the difference.

That bike is awesome, and nothing is built for performance like a ducati. IMHO :D

Tell that to the guys that try to run them in AMA. WSBK is a bit better for Duc, but still nothing podium season to date, includeing one GP rider who is sitting 4th. Yami, Honda, and Suz have the top three spots.

Gixxer enough to get suzuki money at the races. :)

It would be as close to the rest of the suzukis as this is to the rest of the ducattis.

Money for money, you could build a much better bike. Thats all im getting at here.

Agreed. And Duc's are sick expensive to race, but they're still the most incredible bike for racing. I ran a 748R in Pro Thunder (there's a way-back class for you), and it was the best bike I ever raced. They're just....easy to ride.

I'm a Honda lover. But I would cheat on a Honda with a Duc. Most definitely. :)

Yeah, my John's a Honda guy, but one ride on my Ducati and this previous Duc-basher was sufficiently silenced, except to sing her praises. ;)

About 60 large...

...and do not forget, the first people that will even get the OPTION to drop the 60+ have already dropped close to 30K...it will first be offered to 999R owners...and with the limited number being produced, we will most likely not see one :(

That, ladies and gentlemen, is the sweet growl of a V-4 with a 360 degree crank. My VF1000R sounds like that when you take the exhaust cans off. :hump:

Did you catch the bit at the end where he talked about the torque curve? Once you've experienced it, you understand why it's the engine config of choice in MotoGP.
