Las Vegas Femmoto and my wife

Last weekend we went to Las Vegas so my wife could participate in her second Femmoto event. In case you haven't heard of Femmoto, it's a weekend long event full of manufactures that bring out bikes to the track for women only to demo. I believe I heard a number of around 500 women registered this year and I would suggest that if you have a woman that wants to ride or already does you should check it out too. www.femmoto.com (http://www.femmoto.com)

And last but not least, she got to take a Freddie Spencer school of racing track bike out. I am so proud of her and her technique. She did a great job of keeping her head up and looking through the corners.

How was that Hyosung? I have heard mixed reviews but not one of them was from a person who actually rode one.

It looked as cheap as you'd expect but My wife thought it road nicely, her only complaint was the gas tank was so huge that she was laying on it almost the whole time just to reach the bars. It's not a vertically challanged persons bike.

What was the cost, Freddie Spencer school stuff included?

The cost is something around $125 for a single demo day. There wasn't an actual Freddie spencer class, but honda just brought the bikes out with them. There were plenty of coaches out there but none in the formal class situation.

I looked on the website, it shows a whole list of female racers who are instructing. Cool.

Each session would have at least three instructors on the track at all times watching the group and making sure the pace didn't get out of control
