When I left my house this morning it was 39.8. 40 deg is my threshold. But when I got to work, I-25 and Colorado, wunderground.com listed the neighborhood at 23 deg. Its still only 26 deg over here.

32 when I left this morning. Still felt pretty good :) Saw a couple of patches of ice on university from runoff where people where watering their yards.

hahaha. You should REALLY look into snow mobile gloves for riding in the cold. They are AWESOME!. I prefer the supercross style snowmobile gloves. You can get them REALLY cheap at Dennis Kirk.

I've never thought of that. I'm going to give it a shot this year. Thanks

Do I really have to put antifreeze back in the bike? I park in the garage at night. Could my engine really freeze?

No problems. It was about 34 according to the temp gauge on the bike at the coldest. It was awesome coming over the hill and seeing all the fog from Broomfield to the foothills. Once you got down into it though it was crazy. Idiots who don't think it's necessary to turn their GD lights on! But I was toasty warm with the Gerbing's and heated grips. Looks like this'll work out well (I added the heated grips back in March). I have the materials to create a lap "blanket". Tonight I'll probably put the first parts on the bike to see how it goes tomorrow.

Looking forward to colder days.

If it's heated, probably not. You might put a thermometer in the garage and keep an eye on it if you don't want to swap coolant. If it gets cold though, it will freeze and do bad things to your engine. I have to do the same thing with one of my bikes.

Or when it gets cold, get a trouble light, remove the shield and put it on the engine (if you can fit it). It's enough heat to keep it from freezing. I'd rather see the bike next to the warm wall vs the garage door.

This morning wasn't too bad. The crisp air lets me wake up faster anyway . But I do need to look into gloves as the summer ones with vents were a bit "breezy" for some reason.

Hit the ranch supply store over the weekend. Mmmm, flannel lined heavy weight jeans and thick wool socks. Toasty.

Today wasn't so bad, kinda wonder how tomorrow is going to feel. Supposed to be wet too. Ick.

Some heated grips have been sitting at Powersports just waiting for me for the last 6 months, maybe I should actually go get them and put them on the bike.

I have to work on Saturday but I may be able to ride up after :) That will give me chance to test them out on the way home!

There's also one on 104th St close to Federal (just for alternate destinations). You might call first to make sure they have it. I bought my (and Rita's) set from Performance Cycle downtown.

when I got to work, I-25 and Colorado

Where do you work?
I'm up the street at Cherry Creek Audio.
Was a pretty refreshing ride.
I bought some Tourmaster Winter Elite gloves and they're great.
