I did this mod when I first got my 2007 ZX-6R race bike, and before there were any aftermarket performance mods to be had...

My dyno run was:
Before mod: 97HP
After mod: 103HP

It doesn't do much of anything on the lower end, but at top (where I really needed it bad), there was a noticeable improvement... Instead of the power tapering off at 14,000 RPM, I could wind it out to around 15,500 RPM before having to shift... This was paramount for the long Pueblo straight, as well as being able to gear properly to reduce shifting...

In a nutshell, the mod really does work - not to mention it is 'free' power... :)

Congrats Diego!

Unfortuntely I don't think so. The jumper mod is for the emissions (servo motor) which I don't think the 03-04 models have? :dunno: Just the 05 & newer I believe.

I work in Golden so I could stop by and check it out if you want.

The mod is only for the 05 and up bikes. The servo flap is there to reduce noise emissions...

Thanx,
I would love to, but can't, I have class. I will try to make it to the Nov. 17 track day (with the 636, if not, the Bandit). The bike still needs some work before a track day.

Alright man. I look forward to seeing you on the 17th. By the way, is this Sheila's old bike?

Nope, my roomate's old bike... he has an 07 R1 now and sold the kawi to me for a good price (there is some cosmetic damage).

See ya the 17th...:)

Cheers.
