Does anyone have recommendations on where/who has good quality street plastics?

Any have or know someone who has purchased the plastics on ebay from those Hong Kong dealers?

Ebay is where i bought mine for my K4 G1K not from one of the Hong Kong dealers but a US one just like them, still have a left one if you need it its rashed but no cracks. A friend bought the one from Hong Kong and it fit like car body kits do.

Every single set of fairings I have seen on ebay are absolute junk! Some do look good but they never fit right and are never strong enough, they are always cracking. Stay with brand name sets, there are plenty that are decently priced and make an awesome product.

got some from auctmarts1 on ebay. they look great and fit with just a little bit of fiddling. They're abs plastic not fiberglass.
I'd buy them again.

how bad was the "fiddling"?

No scatches or paint bubbles?

waddled out a couple of holes on the upper to fit the stay/mirror mounts

had to drill to attach the lowers together

some superfluous tail mounting holes (under seat) didn't line up so I just didn't use them... no need

No scatches or paint bubbles?
nope.. paint was actually quite impressive

stickers are clearcoated over so no removing them

As far as crashing, I actually lowsided on them at IMI the day after I put them on. The picture in the previous post was taken after rattle canning the damage. Here's one of the damage. No cracks, just wore a small hole where a bolt lies beneath.

I like the second one...

1. It's auctmarts1 and I'm now familiar with them

2. I like the black/silver. And no, I hate the raiders!

This first one by far! A Schwantz replica! Don't forget you'll need to get your tank painted also.

Hey teamhypoxia did you use their headlight fairing too? We put the exact same ones on another 954 and ALL the headlight mounting tabs broke off within 2 months. And none of the inner pieces fit correctly at all. Have you had any other issues?

Yes, I used the headlight/upper cowl. I had to wallow out one of the holes on each side for the mirror mounts. Otherwise everything mounted up just fine. I hope the mounting tabs don't break on mine.
How long ago did you do yours? I think they occasionally update their molds in response to complaints/problems. I know they weren't always made of the same material.

I have a blue/white tank incoming already. But I was against the whole lucky strike because I really hate smoking!

First off, Suzuki riders can't smoke...you'd have to take the cock out of your mouth

Second, its not promoting smoking, its promoting the memory of Schwantz at his finest. Just like when you think of Rainey you think of Marlboro.

Be a puss and get the Rizzla paint scheme then :)

I like these:

http://www.auctmarts.com/auctmarts1/2a/d/3/IMG_7163.JPG

I've always liked the Rizzla scheme, but the blue is way to dark in these:

http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd76/revive66/Suzuki/S41/S41B/S41B-1.jpg

If I were you I'd buy some sharkskins and do them yourself.

Lose the mirrors and the stupid rear seat and you're in business!

Most of there feedback is good 99.6%. One of the negatives that was withdrawn I thought was kind of funny.

How do you have "hidden charges" on ebay and how do you expect "free gifts" and complain if there aren't any?

Tue Nov 13th, 2007, 10:58 AM
He's probably talking about shipping (~$220) not really hidden, but if you're stupid.........

As far as the free gifts, I've seen them have a "Buy it now" price and advertise a free windshield if you use the "buy it now". You can usually get them for much cheaper than the "buy it now" however.

I think I was ~$600 all in.

I saw the same scheme I had stock come with a windscreen and frame sliders. But I'm liking the silver with black tiger stripes
