I'm going to put an undertail and fender eliminator on my 99 R-1. Can anyone tell me if there's a definite difference in quality from manufacturer to manufacturer?

Do you have a preference?

Let me know and THANKS!

I just chopped the existing one down and left enough to attach the plate to. This is cheap and effective and looks pretty decent on an R1. Oh, I also did that turn signal integrator thing.

Go with Desault or Texas fairing.
Do not go with Euro. Its difficult to install, costs to much, and takes alot to get it to look right.

I know its late but iwent for a Euro tail section it fit sweet but the only draw back was the bulb would burn out quick that they gave me and it was a bitch to change so I would probably check Texas Fairing the next t ime though Good Luck

I wouldn't recommend LP.

I've had Eurotails and no problems with them. I currently have FSMD - http://www.extremegraphicfsmd.com/

I can get you one through http://www.motoextreme.net if you are interested. I know that I can get Pyramid- http://www.pyramid-plastics.co.uk/r1_pagex.html , but I think they are kind of ugly. I'm checking to see other manufacturers I can get.
