Taken from another forum but useful info to ponder next time your at a trackday.

Trackdays are not racedays...

I have never made contact with anyone on the track and I try not to race anyone...I am sure we all get carried away in the moment once in awhile. I know I have. This post is a good example of someone passing to close and how a seemingly small mistake can end in disaster.

I was not there and the original post is full of questionable info to say the least. David Pyle from Fastrack riders finally posted to calm the rumor machine.

What I got out of it was use your head out there not just your balls...http://zx-10r.net/forum/images/smilies/smilies/mod_smilie_hey_you.gif

What an ass! Surprised the guy didn't get a beat-down for that. Glad the victim is relatively ok. Should make that dipsh!t pay for all his bike and medical bills.:scream1:

I would have gone Jet Lee on his ass and hit him over the head with his own bike.

Guess I'm missing something. Are you condoning deliberately running into a guy at 120, hurting him, and destroying his leathers and bike? I think if the act was dangerous and deliberate, he SHOULD pay. That's not a racing incident, that's assault.

Frank, did you actually read all of the thread? The guy didn't deliberately take the other rider out. It was later determined that he thought he had passed the other rider and cut in, but obviously was not as far ahead as he thought.
