LED turn indicators and resistors...

I just ordered some LED turn indicators for my bike today and I want them flash at the proper rate. It is my understanding that I need to put a resistor inline to simulate the incandescent lamp's resistance and thus flash at the proper rate. Does anyone know what size of resistor I'll need?

A big one. Not sure of the value, pretty low, but it has to be a power dissipating type. They get hot. look for a led flasher relay (http://www.customled.com/PRODUCTS/FLASHER_RELAY/flasher_relay.htm#elfr1)instead.

I put mine on without the relay because I kind of liked how they flashed fast. Attracts more attention to me so I dont get ran over haha! Which turns did you get?

You'll need a 1 ohm, 15 watt resistor per signal, wired in parallel on the positive side. That oughta do the job.

Just a quick addendum... The circuit doesn't care which side of the light it's on- resistors just add in series...
