GSXR gas tank question???

I have a question about the fitment of the GSXR'S gas tank fitment. I need to know if a 2001 GSXR gas tank will fit onto a 2001 GSXR 600. I always thought that the 01-03 600's, 00-03 750's, and 01-02 1000's were all the same. but then somebody told me today that they were not. Does anybody no for sure if they bolt right up. He told me that it might bolt up but the fuel pumps are different and that the 1000's are circular while the 600/750 are oval, so I really need to know from somebody who has done this or knows for sure if it will fit or not. I've put an 01 1k tank on my 01 600. It's all interchangable (one of the neater aspects of GSXR's is the insane amount of inter-model parts interchangability).

Thanks Ralph. I'm glad you understood me even though I asked if a 2001 GSXR gas tank will fit on a 2001 GSXR 600. :oops: :roll: But yes the 600 fuel pumps and 1000's are the same. We checked it today. Thanks for the help though. :up:
