So what gearing should I go with on my '94 ZX7 trackbike?

I'm going to order a 520 kit for it, but have no clue what size sprockets I should get. Any thoughts?

I believe the stock gearing is 16/42.

For Pueblo, you'll probably want to be around 16/45 or 15/42. For shorter tracks, 15/44 or 15/45.

Yeah, I figure most track-days will be at pueblo so I'd gear it for there.

Maybe 15/42 for pueblo and then I can always buy additional rear sprockets if I need them? :dunno:

I'd go 14/52...then you could take #7 in 5th gear and stunt the pits.

The gearing you need really depends on your corner and straight speed. The main rule of thumb is to gear so that you are in the meat of the power in the slowest corner....turn 7 at PMP.

With that said you don't want to be so short that you are hitting the rev limiter to early on the straight.

If it helps I run a 15/47 on my zx6r.

For what it's worth, I was running 15/47 on my F4i as well.
