I was thinking 10ish, ish.

Would like to stay down south, and maybe even take a ride down santa fe to 105. We can also try 285 to deckers, or 70 to central city. We will finnalize the route tommorow with who shows up. I know Vehicle 1 and probably Danjo are both in.

Weather = 59 and sunny, with some wind.

105 is in GREAT shape except for the last turn. Covered in gravel

Thanks for that info.. Do you mean the last turn if you're coming from the south, or traveling from north to south?

Will you be joining us tommorow?

If the unexpected doesn't come up, I should be there.

...at the MOCO then? I'm open for any other suggestions, if people prefer to change the meeting spot.

I rode down to Palmer Lake today. A lil bit of gravel and water runoff, but totally worth it. Great ride.

I see if I am up then but if I am I will be there about 10:23 and 24 seconds. But don't make me get more specific.

I took the ride down 105 from Sedalia to Palmer Lake today. It was a mellow ride, some gravel and ice in spots, but for the most part it was fine. However, I would love to run Pine Juction to Deckers. Has anyone done this lately? Are the conditons at least ridable without killing yourself?

You’d be smart to stay low this time of year. Skip over to the Black Forest on Palmer Divide Rd if you want to ride more.

You would have one uncertain area... the dark shady section at the very bottom of Horse Power Hill, just past the parking area for those fishing below Cheesman. Otherwise, sandy in places with occasional snowmelt running across the road.

Were you in a group with a couple of KLR650's? I was riding with my dad; it was his first ride on his new R1200R.

It was nice meeting all of you, When i left, everyone was still in 1 piece. Also the sand wasnt to bad, as long as you can hold your line. Average speed today was about 55 or so. So nothing to crazy. when leaving deckers and coming up horse power hill, the left lane is covered in gravel. so watch yourselves out there.

Post up the pics :) and ride safe guys

Yes, what a great ride. The wind was a bit strong up 285, but once we got down into pine junction and on horse power hill it was a blast. There is not a better feeling than that of opening it up on an empty highway in the middle of nowhere.

Glad everyone stayed safe, hopefully it's like this every weekend until summer, I know it's a long shot... :)

I was on a KTM990 leading. A KLR was at the rear with a GS and Blackbird in between.

Did your dad move to CO?

Saw the bikes at Zokas when I passed heading to Deckers. FWIW, it was a speed trap day around 2:15p when Jeffco placed their truck at the Fire Station above Buffalo Creek.

Yep... My parents retired and moved out here in November. My dad picked up his bike from Foothills soon there after but had only taken it out for a matience ride or two. He loves to R1200R. I cant wait to ride it too!

He's got plans for riding everywhere this summer.
