Was a member back in 2001 but kinda fell off the face of the earth. Been riding since '98 and am over my "stupid years" (wife, two kids, mortgage, blah).

Started working with this guy named Ralph, who aside from the facial hair, is an okay guy. :alien: Thus my renewed interest in the website.

2000 silver and chomed/polished R1. When it's not my commuter, i prefer Left Hand Canyon.

Hi,

Looking forward to riding and making some friends. I'm especially looking
forward to the tracks days at High Plains, especially now that Second
Creek is a fading memory. I also do some Enduro riding with the folks
in the RMEC http://www.racermec.org.

Motorcycles of bygone days: Yamaha Vision, Honda K500, Honda VFR,
Harley Low Rider, and a sweet Triumph Thruxton

I'm Scott, and a new member. Just bought my first bike about 2 weeks ago, it's a 1995 Ninja 600R (ZX600-C). Got the tires replaced, oil changed, and numerous other little fixes to get her back up to where she should be. Use it as a commuter and for fun, so just here looking to meet some other local riders and go ride.

So I'm riding Saturday, solo, as is the case most days. I'm coming down 70 and see a group of sport bikes heading up 70. I think to myself, you should be riding with them...

So I'm saying hi. Looking forward to getting in some rides with you guys and gals!

Currently living in Westminster, ride is a black 1050 Triple.

I probably missed it posted, but Erico Motorsports is having a Daytona 200 party Friday. Beer, food, and watch the race for free. I'm planning on going down after work.

Greetings from the People's Republic!

My experience: Thousands of hours riding and racing Mx years ago, I looked up at the mountains last summer and realized I was being an idiot not riding a bike in them. Picked up my black beauty on Labor Day. Since then, put 2,300 miles on, generally any of the canyons and Peak-to-peak between Coal Creek and 36. Lefthand is 10 minutes from my house (and work, I'll ride it at lunch sometimes).

Anyway, this pic from SuperDuke.net has my bike with the same cans, minus my bars, Corbin seat, and shorty levers. (Yeah, yeah, I'll get off my ass and clean the pig off and snap some pics...after the next ride.)

Hey everybody,

So found this site because a friend and I were heading downtown for food Sunday, and ran into a ton of you at the conoco on I-25 and 120th. Dropped in and ened up going for a fairly long ride. And everyone was really chill, and since I have run into a lot of the people from that cruise just casually riding around town. So yeah, wud up.

Velocity Racing Turbo kit
9:1 forged JE pistons
methanol injection
streatched 6in
drag tire
strapped front
lowered 2in
upgraded fan
I think that is about it, I still ride it on the street but with no exhaust the cops tend to not like me that much.

Hahaha!! That's awesome... I have a Busa, is that quick enough? :)

Thank you to all for the warm welcome, I am going to be unpacking pretty much for the next week or so and getting the kids enrolled in school. I see the weather is supposed to warm up soon. I am looking forward to meeting a few of you.

I am living near 120th and Sheridan. I am still learning my way around. How are the LEOs and the cagers around here with bikes?

Oh boy you're in a for a treat. You're actually real close to where I am. Anyways, Broomfield PD has made it their life mission to make up for their small penis size and go overboard on just about anything. I have heard and seen nothing but bad experiences for things that are so minor it is ridiculous. I don't recommend hauling ass through any part of town.

As for cagers, I have had 4 or 5 experiences with them that were ridiculous. Here is a thread talking about two of them http://www.cosportbikeclub.org/forums/showthread.php?t=24538

Well, I have no SQUID like tendencies but I am going to have to watch my speed. In Vegas, the LEOs really don't enforce the speed limits unless you are going way over or it is quota time. From some people I have spoken to in town already, they are a lot more strict here in Colodado.

The only encounter I've had with Broomfield PD wasn't a bad one. The officer got me on his radar doing about 30 over the limit. Pulled me over, and I thought for sure I was getting a ticket, but he said he had a bike too, so we just wound up b/s'ing about bikes for awhile and he let me go no problem. I don't think it would be that way every time, but I was lucky.

I'd rather be lucky than good. I am amazed he let you go. I know a couple of Broomfield cops who have ticketed their own family members saying, "you're no different than anyone else on the road."

As for Vegas, that's a lot like where I lived in LA. As long as you weren't doing 20+ in the streets and what not you were fine.

Here is a pic from when I still lived in Vegas. I have not taken any since I got here to Colorado.

http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i223/goddess0676/P8310002.jpg

I just sold the red Katana in the background right before I moved. I rode Kats (and other much older bikes) for years before I bought my first Busa. Big Red here is my second Busa.

My first bike was a 1978 yamaha 500 kickstart, I bought it in 1991. After that I had a 1984 Kawasaki 1100 that I bought in 94. Then a 96 Honda Magna 750 and in 1998 I bought my first Katana 750. In 2003 I bought my first Hayabusa and I can't imagine riding much else anymore. I bought this busa in 06.

When I had my Kat it was my primary mode of transportation for a couple of years. Now, I am pretty much just a fair weather rider.

Probably more then anyone wanted to know, just thought I would share.

Nice intro and welcome to CSC, what upgrades you got done?

Well let's see, I've installed a full MJS Performance racing exhaust system, completed a 520 conversion with AFAM sprockets and RK chain, Pazzo shorty levers, BMC air filter, Puig windscreen, flush mount signal lamps, custom placed rear signal lamps in tail section, obviously my rear fender crap has been removed and I think that's about it except for decals on the wheels and side.

Next upgrades will likely be a PCIII and rearsets. Next work in schedule will be removal of the AIS pump and block off the smog plates. I can't think of much else to replace besides what I've already done and what I want to do. Aside from adding a turbo charger to my bike, I don't think it's going to get much faster! lol

Hello people,

I saw several of you folks on Saturday March 21, 2009 @ I25 and 120th. I enjoyed myself, but I am horrible with names, I am fairly new to Denver, been here for 3 years, first two I worked in my home office, so learning the roads well didn't happen. I once upon a time owned a 1988 ZX600R had it for years and years raced it blah blah, well upon moving to Denver I moved here cause I had developed health problem back in 2001. Anyhow, I had my ZX up in till last year got impossible to fix it, and with the new riding season I wanted to get back on the road again it felt good to get a new bike and the candidate became the 2008 Ninja EX500R I hated this bike at first, but now I love it, it ain't going to be kicked out of my stable ever. However I might buy another inline 4 bike again someday.

Anyway back to Saturday I felt like such a squid didn't wear my leathers, I normally do for longer rides outside of my neighborhood, but should so next time I will. Least I had my meshy and my helmet.

Still trying to figure out this site it is laid out different than what I am used to so bare with me. I am in the Alameda and Sheridan area. And I do go by my handle except for business, I donated 150 and will donate regularly cause this seems to be a responsible group here I am glad and want to support a good cause of responsible riding. Thanks Will from my EX500.com forum for introducing me, he rides the silver 1994 EX.

Hey everyone. Figured I should post here first.. Been riding for a couple years now, I've had an old Honda CB450, Bandit 600, CBRF3, and just picked up the RC51 at the end of last year. I mainly decided to join here to find some people to ride with, I'm getting sick of riding straight lines with guys from work with their cruisers. Look forward to meeting some of you!

Mercury Cafe (California & 22nd) has a website with the calender of events http://www.mercurycafe.com/calendar.php

They have the best swing in the state tuesday nights (For newbie dancers LESSONS!) otherwise Friday Nights is at The Denver Turnvrine (right behind the Filmore) both events cost like 5 bucks for cover lessons are usually more though.

I know there is blues stuff I just don't know when. I'm just now kinda getting back into the scene. My ex husband banned me from dancing for the last year or so.

My name's Henry and I'm coming in from the Sunshine State (ie. Land-of-no-good-roads-and-squidly-frat-boys). I should be in town around the 19th and after a good long while of no real riding I'll be ready to scrub some tires out in the canyons.
Really looking forward to meetin all you guys and girls and learning a new set of roads.

Sorry, haven't taken the time to do a sig yet... I'm busy remodeling my house down here before I get to hit the road and head your way.

I ride a 2005 R1 with only a couple basic mods - integrated taillight, flush blinkers, clear puig screen (previous owner thought mirror screens looked good:rolleyes:), plus EBC HH pads up front, CF Barnett clutch, EK Chain. Oh and a bunch of scrathes and a healthy layer of road grime. It was knocked over the first week I had it and after that plus the fact it was my daily for two years encouraged me to neglect the soap and water.

I'm also rebuilding a 73 Yamaha RD350, that's a bit of a project at the moment.

I'm moving in the Governor's Park (?) area for a couple of months until I nail down a job and I'll move accordingly for that.

I'm coming from Gainesville, we have that college with those teams that keep winning championships?

...don't even start with me on basketball this year.

Hello all, I'm Michael.
New to forum, New to Riding. Last fall I was talking with my uncle and he was talking about riding is bike out this way for a vacation in the summer so I got thinking and took an abates course on how to ride, got my license and bought an 07 GSXR 600. Haven't done anything to it yet figure I need to learn how to ride it better before I do too much to it. Look forward to meeting some people to ride with once this snow goes away. Until then I'm going to hit up the slopes on my board.

Welcome Michael...Get those frame sliders though. And when you see the north ride posts, lots of times you will see we meet others in Boulder or off of 120th. You can take the back way from Ft. Collins to meet in Boulder or just zip down I-25. Will definately be worth your drive!:)
