Hey all, I wanted to finally say hi. I came to Denver about 2 months ago for contract work building airplanes so not sure how long I will be here but I did manage to make it to the Labor Day trackday at HPR and I have done 3 roadtrips so far.

HPR was a fun track with some fast sections. I took the S1000RR and managed to do a safe, conservative 2:08 by the end of the day. IF I am still here next year, I will definitely do some races.

The roads west of Denver are great. So far I have ridden hwy 67, 73, 74, 103, 5, 6, 119, 40, Lariat loop road, and 285. The new parts of 103 were amazing. If they finish working on that road it will be very popular.

With any luck I will be able to get in at least one more trackday and 3-4 more roadtrips so looking forward to seeing you all out there.

Hi, all, name's Rob. Been lurking on this forum for a little bit, so I decided to introduce myself. I rode dirt when I was a kid and just recently got back into riding. At the moment, I have a blue '10 Ninja 250. It's a fun little bike (flickable!), but I think this coming spring I'm going to look for something bigger, as the 250 is a little small for my frame. I bought this bike this past June with ~3700 miles on it and I primarily use it as a commuter (has ~9600 miles now). If you commute on the 225, 270 or 36, throw a wave if you see me. I plan on riding it through the winter (road condition dependent). Hope to get together and do some rides when it get's warmer (where did all the bikes go?!)

Hi All
Name is Mike. I just got stationed at Buckley January of this year. Was in Spain for the last two years and was able to tour parts of Spain on a bike I bought over there. Was in Colorado Springs before then where I first started riding. So I'm pretty familiar with the area. Although I like Denver a lot better.

Right now I'm a part of the Buckley Green Knights MC club, but I'm looking to meet some fellow riders who like to ride.

Picked up a 2010 Z1000 that I absolutely fell in love with. Enjoy the more upright riding position.

Hello all,

My name is Joe. Colorado native.. lived in Greeley, Colorado Springs, Littleton, Englewood and Lakewood. I am new to the CSC forum but I have had several bikes both street and dirt since I was 12. I found this forum on the VFRworld forum and I am looking forward to meeting new people and other riders to join on the street. If any of you rode through Golden I in the recent months I am sure we passed each other at some point. That is my play ground and I am blessed to live nearby.

Anyhow I am looking forward to the community and meeting new people and other fellow riders

Greetings everyone,

They call me Brian, among many other less-than-flattering things.

I rode BMX growing up, & BMX/dirt bikes in high school. I've been riding scooters the last decade with the occasional "riding a friends bike", & finally got a full size bike for myself a few months back. I'm fortunate to have a nice little truck, but I like to ride any day it's not wet & gets above 50 degrees. I am moderately content riding alone, but I really enjoy riding in groups - given the appropriate circumstances. I live in Englewood & work in Castle Rock, & I prefer to commute via bike cause it's hella cheap.. ;)

Riding season is over for many of you, but look forward to meeting/riding with many of you next season; and some of you perhaps even sooner.

Cheers! :)

Hey gang!

my name is Paul but everyone calls me skip or skipperdoodle. I've lived in Denver since 85, and do not know any other place on earth that has the vast variety of roads like we do here. I have a 1994 YZF-750R that I've owned since 2000, it's been the greatest 28,000 miles I've ever done on a machine. Over the years it has been tweaked and refined into a superbike level bike. Unfortunately those refinements have made it no longer street legal. I pushed my luck with the vehicle code for the last couple of years. So this year I decided to no longer street it and I bought a 2011 R1. Haven't had much time to get acquainted with it so late in the year however but it proves interesting. My wife also rides, I just bought her a 2014 Kawasaki ninja 300 abs. Talk about a fun little bike!
Anyhow, i joined the forum in hopes of meeting more riding buddies. I know a few guys who ride but we rarely get together. And my wife continuously complains that she has no riding buddies. So I'm looking forward to meeting and talking with my fellow Colorado canyon carvers!

cheers!

Greetings fellow 2-wheeled enthusiasts....

I'm Woo,
I relocated from Tucson, AZ about 10 months back (for work). I've been trolling the board for a lil while now, and figured I should get around to introducing myself. I ride primarily street these days (since '06), but grew up riding dirtbikes. Since moving here I've been unable to ride until recently, due to technical difficulties and what-not... However, that has since been remedied and I'm currently on an '04 RC51.

I've only been able to get out a few times recently due to this strange thing you guys have here called "Winter" with all this snow and ice stuff all around, hahaha... Which brings me to my first couple o' questions...

What do ya'll do in the off season?
Are there any spots where the sportbike riders congregate?

I ask because, back in AZ, we can (and do) ride year-round, so there was always a few well known spots that we would meet-up/hang-out.

Also, does anyone else run a chatterbox on their lid?

Welcome to Colorado, Woo_Who!

In the off season, most just bitch and moan about the snow,. There are a few who ski or snowboard, meet up for lunch or dinners, get their bike(s) ready for the next riding or race season (I.e. adding upgrades and mods). There are different activities posted in the Social Events along with a n00b welcome party that Bornwildnfree hosts at her place. Even tho we have "winter" here, there are quite a few of us who still get out and ride, like last Saturday and Sunday! :hump: You can always post up an event, like all you can eat wings night at Quaker Steak and Lube and invite others to join you! CSC'ers love their wings! :yumyum:

And yes, I use a Chatterbox xbi2 on my lid.. I just listen to music tho, no chatting, well, unless it's just to myself.

I just listen to music tho, no chatting, well, unless it's just to myself.

lol, I have the GmrsX1... looks like you and I will be able to continue uninterruptedly getting expert advice..

Hell yeah, we ride year-round!!! If there's snow on the ground, pull out the WR's...

Yeah, I'm still working on improving my skills ice track racing/riding... lol
Besides, the only 'WR' I wanna play with in the snow, is a WRX (or a .:R32 :devious:)!

Seems like things are a bit quiet over the winter but I thought I would introduce myself:
New-ish member here after lurking a bit in the past.

Getting in to my 3rd year riding and looking for more people to ride with! I'm always looking to become a better rider and I heard this was a great group of people.

I ride a Yamaha Fz8 and have done about 20k miles in colorado over the past two years. I'm looking to explore the state more this year and meet new people to ride with. Eventually I'd like to get out and do a track day or two. I spent 5-6 years racing open-wheel cars but have recently gotten out of it. Some day I'd like to return to the track on two wheels..

Hey everyone! My name is Tiffany, I just moved to Denver from the Minneapolis/St. Paul area in September. I've been riding for about 5 years now. My bike is a GSXR600 and unfortunately, it's still in MN but I will be riding it out here in May! I don't know anyone out here who rides so I was hoping to meet some new people and this seemed like a good place to start! Looking forward to meeting everyone :)

Minnesota! Welcome. I can't think of many others from MN on here, but maybe I just don't know enough. Plenty of skiers from there too.
You're going to ride it all the way out here? I'm debating doing a round trip ride from here to there (duluth/lutsen) but it's a miserable enough drive as it is and I cant afford any tickets.

Hi. I've posted a few times but never introduced myself. I just got my first street bike last October. I've owned a dirt bike before but never a street legal. Would love to go on a few group rides and perhaps some BBQs...as long as you all don't mind me bringing up the rear (my bike is a CBR500R) :)

Welcome welcome, hope to meet some of you this summer at some point. Hopefully I'll have a street bike soon and maybe put together a ride so everyone can get acquainted. Also be sure to check out the MRA races this summer, it's a ton of fun

Welcome Dan.... Good to see you on here. Nice choice in bikes, what else you have in the stable? I know you mentioned a Victory?

wait until you get the UK spec reflash or wire mod to unlock the restriction you feel at about 11k rpm.

Hey all, my name is Kai. I've been checking out the forum for a bit but never actually posted or met anyone yet. I live in Westminster and have been riding for about 7 years. I have a '06 GSXR 750 that I picked up last year and I'm having a blast with it, look forward to meeting some other riders! http://www.cosportbikeclub.org/forums/images/icons/icon6.png

I'm having issues getting a pic uploaded but I will try again eventually!

Thanks Slo! Sold the V-Strom DL650 on Sunday as that was my camping/exploring bike and I've got no time for that this year. Plus, I was a little tired of it. I've got the Vic. Cross Country for commuting to work (work in the Springs) and throwing the missus on back for weekend cruises. So just the 2 for now.
Going to hit up Fay M (where I bought the ZX) and see if they'll do the reflash.

Closing this thread, it's had a great run since 2004 (!!) but it's a big database query every time it loads. Starting the New Member Thread 2.0!
