Since we have had a steady stream of new members joining the club, this thread will serve as a place for any new members to let us know who they are instead of having a ton of "Hi I'm new here" posts in the general forum.

Are you new? Let us know a bit about yourself if you want, or just give a shout out to the club.

My name is Steve, and I'm new to the forum.

Been riding dirt bikes and older enduros most of my life, and started riding a 1996 CBR 600 this past summer.

I am trying to sell it, and that is the main reason I joined here to be honest. However, I wish I had known that this forum existed this summer, because I would have spent a lot of time here by now! Seems like a great site.

Why don't you keep the bike through winter cause most people are not looking except those looking for a steal, advertise it in spring when you can get some money for it, and ride it until you sell it?

Hey guys, and girls.

The name is Chris and I ride a VTX1800 cruiser. I tend to ride it abit fast and decided that I needed to get a track bike and stay off the street.

So I just picked up Matt Suebe's 01 gixxer and I am very excited to get on the track and see what I can do. Racing is not in the cards, unless I win the lottery, but I do plan to try 1 or 2 next season (2006) and see where I stand with others.

Looking forward to meeting some of you at the track.

Oh, and I like long walks in the dark, the color blue, and bunnies  :D :321:

Hey all,

My name is Greg and have been ridding for the past year. If anybody is in the springs or pueblo area I am always up for ridding, just get ahold of me. Most of the time I am working, but always ridding on the weekends.

I'm a newbie to the board and to Colorado (moved from Cali last week). I'll probably try to make it to the Jillian's meet since the only thing I have on my schedule is to try to clean up my poor dirty Ninja that made the trip in the back of a Toyota through that terrible storm last week. :( My RVF (hence the screenname NC35) is still sunbathing in Cali.

Hi guys.

Just came across this site. I'll be taking delivery of a Ducati M900 next weekend (my first bike!), and I'm looking forward to getting to know some of you all, and the world of motorcycling.

I'm a 21 year old student living in Boulder... New York City transplant. Was an avid 4wheeler until I caught the bike bug, so I sold the truck and looked for the coolest bike I could find...

I can't go to Jillian's on Mondays. I can't go to the Breckenridge Brewery on Wednesdays. My son uses up most of of my time. Thank God people still ride here on Sundays! I'm new to the club. Been riding here in Colorado since 1997. Riding (in California) since 1989. I'm looking for people to ride with that know more roads up here than just Deckers and Estes Park. I do like those routes, though! Hope to see some of you soon. Thanks for establishing this club and putting some class into our sport.

Hey Everyone. New to the site here and I just wanted to get my name out there. I wasn't sure what to use for a name on this site so I used my old Half-Life name. If you've every played Half-Life you know how addicting it is/was. Anyways I live in the South East section of Denver and you can usually find me at Caldonia's on Friday nights. I've got a '01 black & silver GSXR with a Wolf Bros. exhaust and love to ride Deer Creek Canyon with it. In the winter you can find me at Mary Jane tearing up the bumps on the weekends. Don't know how many of you ski, but I was looking to get some Salomon Ten-Eighty's. Heard they were pretty good in the moguls. Post a message if you have any comments.

Thanks for the welcome (I think that's what it was). Anyways, I don't hit up Breck or Keystone much since I have the Copper/Winter Park pass. I'll have to catch up with you guys during the spring/summer.

BTW, anyone know a guy named 'Simpson' and hangs out with some chick named Leslie? I met him at Caldonia's two Friday's ago (2/25). He rides a 2004 black honda 600rr and he says he's gotta nos kit for it and can hit 200 mph without gearing it. Seems a bit much. Just wanted to verify with you guys.

Hi, I'm Justin. New user, longtime rider (track, street, stunt, dirt, whatever).

Some may remember me from sportbikes.net from years ago. I was the original Stunter's Corner moderator.

Anyways, been w/out a bike for little over a year, looking to get back into it. Still have all my stuff, track gear and all.

I want to post a WTB thread since I'm looking for a new bike but guess I need posts first.

So, I'm looking for 600cc bike, R6 or GSXR preferred in good running shape. Mostly for track use but must be streetable as well.

Thanks :)

Hiya people!

My name is Ralph and I just finished building and opening a bar in Parker (Potter's Mainstreet Grille, formerly Parker Station), and after 2 months of living hell the establishment is running well. So I celebrated by upgrading my bike to a 'Busa. The last few years all my riding companions rode Harley's, and I while I like cruisers as well, being the only sportie in the group gets old. So I finally got off my lazy ass and found this site.

Looking forward to meeting and riding with many of you.

As much as I'd like to say I was the owner, sadly that is not the case. I merely manage the place. Friends of mine bought it, asked me to build, staff and train because of my past history of working with them, then eventually asked me to stay on and be a manager. The owners are affiliated with Hanson's yes, which is a great place. We're trying to lose the Parker Station name though. The only relationship we have with PS is that we occupy the same space they used to have.8)

I would be more than happy to setup a deal for CSC members. Sadly, we don't serve pitchers, but I'm sure I can come up with something everybody would be happy with. :D

I've been toying with the idea of setting up a brunch as a staging area for people gathering to ride down to the PPIR races.

Hey Everybody....thought I would finally introduce myself since I've been lurking for the past few weeks. Just bought a little Ninja 2 months ago and have slowly been breaking it in, riding around town. (Trying to get the concept of turning OFF the blinker) I don't know much about bikes except that if you go faster than the posted speed limit and run a red....ya get pulled over pretty quick! I'm down in Southern Colorado, kinda stay close to home base. I don't go down Powers or Academy....yet. Still nervous and pretty cautious out there. I've seen a few chicks out there riding so I think that's pretty cool that I'm not alone. Maybe there's some that are in the Springs?? If so...Speak Up! Guess that's it for now.

Hey Two-Braids....how old are your kids?
Jillians is a kid friendly place-there is no smoking in the building and tons of games and bowling and food to eat.
Brecks is not too bad...it is a bar/resturant, but there are a fair number in the club who have kids or at least like them. My husband is a bouncer a couple nights a week, so when I go to the gatherings I just take my little one with me to socialize. She is three. Spiderman takes his kids sometimes, as does Tink, and Suki here and there. EIther way, thought that I would throw it out there to just take the little ones along to some of the gatherings. I will be at Brecks with my kiddo tonight even.
Oh, and the BBQ's and such are VERY kid friendly.

My daughter is about to turn 10 (She loves ridin with daddy on the bike!). I also have 2 step-kids, but they are older. I have a 19yo step-daughter who is manicurist at a day-spa in Lafayette (I might be able to hookup the female riders with a discount if they want). Then I have a 21 yo step-son who has a 88 CBR1000 and is still recovering from his first adventure with roadrash. Luckily he wasn't hurt too bad.

I'm sure my daughter would love to go to Jillians if its anything like Dave & Busters.

Hi,

The name's Bill. I've lived in Phoenix for most of my life, but I'm seriously considering moving up to Colorado. I rode in the Fay Meyers "Lap of Colorado" last year, and something about you guys having some of the best roads anywhere in the world just keeps calling me back to the Rockies.

I got into riding only about 3 years ago. It was one of those teenage-fascinations-I-put-off-almost-until-middleage. Since then I've put close to 60K miles under the wheels of every kind of bike I can get my hands on. I own a naked SV650 with race tires and a worked-over suspension (Ohlins) and a Honda ST1100 (I call it the Buick). I use the SV mainly for trackdays and the ST for just about everything else. I have my Battery Tender on my Jeep these days. Since getting divorcd and selling my house I'm hoping to devote more of my time to improving my trackriding skills. I've done about 12 trackdays now, and I find I just can't get enough. Looking at what the MRA offers, I might even go racing after I move up there!

I'm looking to buy a house in the Conifer/Pine/Bailey area since it seems kinda rustic but is still close to Denver and Boulder. Makes it easier to make a living that way (I'm in IT).

If all goes as currently planned, I hope to meet up with you guys for some group rides and trackdays within a few months. Until then, I'll just hang out on the board and try to absorb some of that Rocky Mountain wisdom! ;)

Hey guys, just tracking down that Hoopty biatch. I won't be making it out to any of your rides any time soon, but I have done a fair bit of riding in Colorado. Mintern, Hotchkiss, Monarch, Cottonwood, Tennesse Pass, Independence... etc.... been through them all plus various other great riding roads out there. Also done some dirt riding near Pueblo and the Flat tops, plus some National Forests near Woodland Park.

Anyhoo - you might see me in here once in a long while.... most often bust'n on Hoopty. :P

Howdy all!

Welp, I've got my bike home and working. It's got a small coolant leak coming out of the drain plug, I'll throw a gasket on there. Other than that, she runs. It had a stall when hot problem, but I swapped plugs and changed the oil today, and it hasn't come back. Needs a good tune up, so I'll get it to a shop soon, but man this thing is fun! I went with the older sport bike because frankly, it fit my budget and I almost prefer the styling to the newer sportbikes. The newer ones are getting a little too flashy for my taste, but if I had the money, I'm sure I would've opped for the newer type.

So far, I've got a Teknic jacket and Joe Rocket gloves in the mail, and am sporting a Nolan flip face helmet. I'm going to get a standard full face pretty soon here, just haven't decided where/what to get. Boots are probably going to end up being some average steel toe construction boots, simply because of the budget.

Let me know what you think, as well as any pointer's you've got for me!

Welcome, and glad you got her running. If you can stick with the "I almost prefer the styling to the newer sportbikes." philosophy your gonna save yourself a ton of $, but you just started down a road to possible ruin :D

Hi I just moved back to Colorado from Florida, while I was there I learned to ride on my GS500. When I got here a few months ago I bought a 01 F4i, love it.
I live off of Jewell and Federal in the hood, and work in Highlands Ranch. I have a weird work schedule wed through sat 3pm to 1am. I was thinking about the girl ride on the 16th, but I have never been on a group ride. Oh yeah, my name is Becky and I am 31.
I have been lurking the site for awhile and decided to join up.

Hi…another northern newbie here. Been riding pillion for years, finally decided to change my view. Can’t believe I waited so long, sheesh! ;) Took the MSF class in March…became the proud owner of an ’05 Ninja 250 in April.

Despite the naysayers, I love my bike – just the perfect size to learn on. It feels plenty big enough for this vertically challenged novice. Only put about 1400 miles on her so far (darn work keeps cutting into my ride time). I know I don’t have the skills or the bike to keep up with, well, probably most everyone on here, but if anyone is in a “mentoring” mood, I am more than happy to learn from your experience. And, no worries, I am already a big believer in gear…I happen to like my skin on and my innards in.

For now, I am just trying to get in as much saddle time as I can, improve my riding, and try not to scare anyone with the goofy grin on my face…woohoo!! :D

I need a new member, I'm wearin' mine out.

'03 stock busa, it will bury the speedo as claimed, even with a goob like me ridin' it! One of the best things I've done in my life. I didn't even have to clean my shorts, but it was close......

Hey guys, I'm Sean

Last summer I got bored on eBay and ended up buying my bike. It's a 89 ZX600 with a good body, but wasn't running at the time.

Well, school started and I ran out of money. So it sat in my garage until a few weeks ago when I took it to the shop, finally. I have been riding it all over the damn place since.

It's not the newest or the prettiest, but I got it for $500 and it gets a shitload better milage than my lifted Jeep does.

I'm always down to meet up with some folks up north and go on a ride. Poudre Valley, anyone?

My name is Josh. 23 y/o. Origionally from Lochbuie, CO. Left CO to see the world with a 9mm side arm and a first aid kit. Been in the Navy as a Hospital Corpsman for just over 5 yrs, and just re-enlisted for 2 more yrs. Stationed out of San Diego,CA, but currently deployed (for a total of 4 times) to Al Anbar Province, Iraq. Should be back in the states in a little over a month and a half.

I've rode dirt birt bikes my entire time growing up. Recently I've ridden a couple of my friends street bike and decided to get one. I just bought a 2003 R6 LE Black w/ Red Flames. Right before I deployed. Got on here to meet people I could run with while home during leave periods and what not.

Hey all. I'm new. This sticker on my shirt over my breast says "Hello...my name is..." and then I scribbled the name Tim.

So..I'm looking for the early morning rides...Sat/Sun. What about 6am? No, ok. How about 7am? Fine.

Are people showin' up for the Conoco meet-ups, in Morrison. I'm gonna catch one of those for sure.

Oh yeah...motorcycle gangs, lemme know. The tatoo's, the branding, the fights, the 1%'s...I'm more of a 3-5%'er, but willing to learn. Great!

Thanks again and see ya out there.

I appreciate the offer bro, but were almost out of here. Unless it's a plane ticket for tomorrow. I think I'm set. The PX is starting to pull it's head out of it's ass and bring in some better stuff. I'm at Al Asad Air Base. It's a good thing there's nothing much around here. It allowed me to save almost all of the Tax Free money I've received out here.

Sorry to hear about your wounds. Hope you make a full recovery!

You're doing the smart thing by taking the MSF course first. That's how I did it, and bought my first bike the next day. :D

There aren't races to watch on Wednesday, we just go to Breck's for food, drinks and to hang out. Depends on the day, but yeah, there's usually a good deal of people there.

Wuddup.... kind of a late intro... i been lurkin for a minute, posted a few times... i dont have a sportbike, i have a cruiser that i ride like a sportbike  .

Seriously, im in the southeast part of the springs, born and raised here, moved to TX about 15 years ago and finally made it back "home". I WILL be getting a sportbike sometime soon (soon being a relative term here). Among my top choices, but not necessarily what i will get, are:
Duc 999
BMW K1200S
Hayabusa

Although i will probably end up with a 600 of some sort seeing is ai have never owned a sportbike, so i need sumthin to get me accustomed to the riding style.

I ride rain or shine, hit me up sometime, im off fri-sat.
