In case you didn't know PMP will be bikes only on 3.23. We have also made it availible to have the familiarization class.

However, most people that had interest in the class have opted to take the MRA class on the 22nd.

If we don't have any interest by mid week we won't be running the class. However it will still be an open bike day

If you would like to sign up please see this thread http://www.cosportbikeclub.org/forums/showthread.php?t=20109

Will the 'new' turn 10 be used, and is there an actual plan you will follow to get the same corner placement as we will use with the MRA?

Aaron - the last few times I have been out there the track has set up some cones to simulate the new configuration. Unfortunatly it is still pretty bumpy and won't be smooth until it is repaved.

However, we will need to ask you to use the track entrance road so that we can slow you down and give the rest of us a chance to keep up:drink:

Where is there info on the class for the 22nd? Also, was taking the little track safety course thing during the CSC Track day last summer sufficient to use the track again?

On the PMP schedule they are calling for "Turn ten project" March 17-21. I guess they are going to tackle it this week.

Ok here is the class stuff.

The MRA is running there new racer class on the March 22. It is not a open track day. You must get in touch with the MRA to sign up. Tammy Schellinger can help you out if needed with the MRA class. Her number is 303-322-3221. However if you need to sign up for the MRA class you need to do it ASAP

On March 23 (Sunday) it is a open bike only day. I was going to run a Orientation Class that day. However, most people are signing up for the MRA class instead

If you want to race this year you MUST TAKE THE MRA CLASS. If you are wanting to just do track days then you can take either.

And if you took either class last year you are good to ride at PMP

Any more questions please let me know. Also many of you already know this, however my hard drive died last fall. Mel was kind enough to fix it for me, however most of my data was lost. This means that I also lost the list of people that attended my class last year. I believe I have gotten everybody on the approved PMP list that is at the track. However, if someone fell through the cracks, please have Earlene call me from the track

To take the MRA class do you need a bike that is wired up and ready to race or can you run a street bike?

No you don't need a race bike to take the MRA class. However at the end of the class they have a mock race. You must have a steering damper on the bike to participate in that portion only

Paulip. Don't let me know as I have nothing to do with the MRA class. If you want to sign up for the MRA class please follow the directions in my earlier post

Getting a fair amount of snow in Boulder. Hope the roads are good for the trek down tomorrow morning. F'ing snow!

Man, today was a hell of a day.

Even at noon, it was cold as hell outside. Leo, Jeff, Jason and I were all having traction problems coming out of turn 10. I slowed down to try and be as upright as possible for that asphalt "strip" which was sticky enough - but once I gave it some throttle on the concrete, the back end started slipping and sliding.

I think I counted 4 wrecks today too. The worst was the guy on the Yamaha something-or-another that hit the mud on the inside of Turn 1... the dude wadded that bike up pretty good and it took several of us to broom up the mess. I think his friend said he broke his arm. :(

Wow!!! My wife and I were headed down this morning when we made the call in Colorado Springs to turn around and come back home. I figured it was going to be a mess, but I never would have guessed that they would even have opened the track. I'm sorry to hear about all of the wrecks. I know that tomorrow is going to be a better day; too bad that work thing gets in the way.

I hope everyone is all right. Chris, you are a brave man!!

Leo drove down this morning when it was still snowing. The roads were BAD on my drive down around 10am, but the forecast was STILL showing a high of 53 and mostly sunny, so I was holding onto the slightest glimmer of hope that the track would be in better sorts - and it was. Almost like an oasis. :D
