They work pretty well in keeping the under gloves dry and the little thumb squeegee is fricking awesome. On the way in this morning, I just needed a little swipe with the thumb and it cleared off the built up snow nicely.

I know you can buy a thumb squeegee (I had one) but those tiny things get lost so easily (I lost mine :) ). Having it part of the glove is much nicer.

I have the black pair. Can't see the squeegee in the pic. It's about 2" long and runs along the lower digit of the thumb.

The wrist strap is useless though. It's not long enough and fumbling with it with the glove covers after they're on is frustrating. I just let them dangle.

Oh, you mean the bike? I don't have a pic with me riding but I zipped out to get a pic of the bike in the parking spot if that helps:

Better? :)

(It's above freezing, at least up this way, so it's just like riding in the rain really :D ).

Edit: Sorry, I resized the image :)

I'm sure the gloves work wonders like the rest of Aerostich's stuff, but damn man .. they just look like you stuck a Camel Toe on your hand.

And the left one isn't all that comfortable either. I have to relax my middle finger because it binds when I hold on to the grips. But that only happens when I have the Gerbing's heated gloves under them. When I use them with the deer skin gloves, they fit much better.

I wore lobsterclaws for a while in the bad stuff but I found that any waterproof glove with some insulation worked OK as long as the wind was blocked.

These Tour Master Winter Elites are on sale now at around $100.

I've had a pair for two full riding seasons and they have paid off big time when the weather turns sour. Last night I rode home, down I-25, for around an hour in a heavy downpour. The gloves have a built-in outer 3-finger barrier that is similar to the Aerostitch listed above. The liner zips away into the top half of the gauntlet when not needed. The two biggest benefits of the 3-finger over liner are: they're windproof and waterproof. Comfort is reasonable. But the feel on the controls is nowhere near that of a good summer weight racing style glove. Worth the money? Hell yes (if you are going to ride in these type of seasonal conditions). There isn't much worse than cold, wet fingers when your trying to operate a motorcycle.

Good job on riding today Carl! I was going to give it a try but the slush and ice in my area was too much for safety. Perhaps tomorrow.

Yea, I figured if I was going to be heading to the tech center area, I'd probably be taking the car. There's more snow and crud that fall down in the Castle Rock area than up here. The snow was gone from the grassy areas by noon and the streets were dry by the time I headed home.

hey Carl, just curious but did you used to work at ibm boulder? there used to be some nutjob(no offense) who rode his same colored busa year round.

sometimes i'd be walking in from the parkinglot and see the tracks his busa made through the snow and slush up to the bike parking and just went holy hell. several of us riders were often amazed at that busa's presence on crappy winter days

Yep, I'm that nutjob :D

One morning I left home and there were just a few flakes. When I came down the hill on 52 I was rolling through slush. At the light the car in front of me had one of the motorcycle stickers (like "Watch out for Motorcyclists" or something. The guy rolled down his window and field stripped his cigarette just dropping the ember into the slushy water. When I went by him I gave him a thumbs up because I thought that was great.

As I went around the access road, which was packed snow and rolled into the parking lot, the guy came up from the other direction and we chatted for a few minutes. Turns out it was Jay (who I didn't know at the time). We chatted for a few minutes before he headed off to work and I went inside.
