I work with an acoustical engineering firm in Denver, but our Hawaii office has been overloaded, so I'm helping out over here. A lot of environmental impact studies for new projects (cooling tower noise, chiller noise effecting adjacent residential properties), and sound isolation for a lot of the hotel/luxury condo projects (so neighbors don't bother their neighbors).

Very cool...If you haven't already, a few minutes south of where you're at, you got to give Sandy's Beach and Hanauma Bay/Toilet Bowl a shot.

Sandy's has some of the best shore break waves in the world. Spent many days there instead of being in class.
