Do they make an all weather tire for bikes as well as cars? Isn't it more dangerouse to ride in certain conditions? Doesn't safety come first? Just a thought!

You should probably get yourself some studded tires for winter.

These tires do exist and are being sold as rain race tires. I currently have a set on my ZX14. These are the tires I should have used in the snow. Awesome tread perfect for mud too, which is absolutely impossible with stock tires. How do they handle in the rain? They give traction like its dry. No loss of traction at all. Its unbelievable.

So why don't we often use these rain tires? They will melt under spirited dry riding. Very aggressive soft tread squishes under the weight, generates lots of heat and can't get rid of it fast enough. They look like dirt bike tires. Not enough solid contact for our heavy bikes. Expect tire failure (delamination) on a hot day.

There are actually aggressively treaded tires for street bikes that do great in snow and OK in mud, and still hold up under spirited dry riding. ;)
