Mine's an 08 CBR, and I swapped otu the air filter not too long ago. Jesus that was a pain in the ass. I had to take both side fairings off as well as the tank cover, then it was right there. Oh, and had to take the seat off too.

im not familiar with that bike. is it a full tank or just a tank cover. if its a full tank you could be fighting a hose.

Again, I don't know the diff between the 07/08 and the 06's, but once you have the tank cover off off you take the top of the airbox off, which was like 6 screws on mine. Then there's two screws on the top of the filter holding it in place (kind of hard to see right away). And that's it..

Hardest part is getting the damn tank cover back on...

Also, check www.600rr.net (http://www.600rr.net) there were a couple writeups that had some good pics of taking that stuff apart.

damn dude, and to think Honda usually makes everything pretty easy to work on. When I installed my K&N on my gixxer it took me like 30 mins. Glad you got it in though. Did you notice any difference on power band yet?
