That is pretty flickin' sweet, Mike.
And I never knew that pinning your kill-switch open like that, was allowed.

not only allowed, but highly recommended. Just ask Hoopty what happened to him last year coming thru turn 9 :banghead:

needless to say, his F3 could have used something like that.

Yeah, it totally makes sense. Wouldn't want any childish stop-light antics going on, while you're waiting for the green to drop. Then again, being an asshole probably isn't encouraged, either. :D

I'm guessing Hoopty's T-9 episode had something to do with actual racing though.

You'd be surprised lol

Yeah, I believe he was battling in points for Modern Vintage. Last lap of the race he accidently hit the kill switch. Well, he got passed as he coasted into 10 with a dead bike.

Hey Hoopty, sorry for using you as an example :)

Coming into 9 in the lead (with a nice lead mind you) his hand bumped the kill switch. He took the inside line through 10 and got passed by a hair over the finish line. He realized as he was coasting down the straight what had happend. Alot of riders don't have the kill switch locked with a pin (including you right Casey? or did you add that now?) anyway, needless to say Dave learned his lesson, we ended up finding out after the race that even if he had won that race it wouldn't have changed the final standings, so it wasn't as tragic as we thought. :)

Mmmmm purty. How do you do something like that? Paint it and put something (plastic wrap?) over while it's still wet and peal it off later?

thats called marbleing and its actually pretty easy. you spray down the base color and take a lighter shade of the same color or a different color and spray it on some saran wrap, lay the saran wrap down wiggle it a tad and then peel it off. you can actually do several colors. i have done a 4 color marbleing before. the more colors though the harder it gets.

it is a very nice paint job though. the painter obviously knows his stuff.
