I'm looking to ride 300+ miles on Monday. I'm flexible on route and final mileage as long as we can stay off the flat/straight and hit at least the 300 mile mark. Post up if you are game. Cathy...Patrick...? I know you guys are just sitting around wanting to ride.

You should try heading north. The roads up there are beautiful. Went with Sal the other day.. Highway 7 is heaven, and left hand is left hand.

Have fun either way.. wish I could join!

Hey Toby! I might, could, possibly be available. Actually, it really depends on how quickly my old fart body recovers from riding on Sunday. Check this thread for some of the areas we hope to hit on Sunday...http://www.cosportbikeclub.org/forums/showthread.php?p=307088#post307088

Oh and here's a quick map I put together for ya for Monday. It's about 330 miles round trip...http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&geocode=211006503150195707,40.516150,-105.187150%3B3340231553112492516,40.475310,-106.826160%3B16224120078620492614,40.709792,-106.292725%3B4750780437709162096,40.619258,-105.356369&saddr=fort+collins,+co&daddr=CR-38E+%4040.516150,+-105.187150+to:estes+park+to:granby+to:toponas+to:S +Lincoln+Ave/US-40+W+%4040.475310,+-106.826160+to:40.709792,-106.292725+to:Rist+Canyon+Rd+%4040.619258,+-105.356369+to:40.556591,-105.290909+to:masonville+co&mra=dpe&mrcr=7&mrsp=8&sz=11&via=8&sll=40.512755,-105.249023&sspn=0.314783,0.469666&ie=UTF8&ll=40.380028,-105.987854&spn=1.437341,2.092896&z=9&mid=1212196271

Hello Cathy!

The 330 mile loop you posted looks good; although it will look more like this for me. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&geocode=15071346631907333888,39.797950,-105.226380%3B9379186908213495320,40.211850,-105.249020%3B12355833126807249342,40.392290,-105.434410%3B2594992993958641352,40.548129,-105.287809%3B15664823543494607638,40.223400,-106.937510&saddr=Highlands+Ranch,+CO&daddr=CO-93+%4039.797950,+-105.226380+to:N+Foothills+Hwy+%4040.211850,+-105.249020+to:US-34+%4040.392290,+-105.434410+to:Loveland+to:CR-27%2FStove+Prairie+Rd+%4040.548129,+-105.287809+to:Walden,+CO+to:CO-131+%4040.223400,+-106.937510+to:40.396764,-105.619812+to:Central+City+to:Highlands+Ranch,+co&mra=dpe&mrcr=2&mrsp=8&sz=9&via=1,2,3,5,7,8&sll=40.128491,-106.020813&sspn=1.346095,2.49115&ie=UTF8&z=9

Freekin long link, sorry. Still doable at 530 miles. If you are in I would be willing to track up. I do want to see Rocky Mtn Nat Pk soon.

LMK

Edit: I see Poudre on the route. I still have a bone to pick with that canyon! Damit!

What are you thinking? Short as in....? Sounds as though Cathy might need some Monkey Butt pwdr if she does this 2 days in a row, so she might be out.

I just remembered my car is getting new tires on Monday. Originally I was thinking an all day ride would be fun, but I have to be in Golden by 2:30. Looks like I'm out

Warren, If no one commits and you want to ride, we could do a shorter loop. I can always find a convoluted path back home from Golden. I guarantee you I can find a way home from Golden that can add 200 miles to my clock. I would like to see Rocky Mountain National Park though.

Toby, why not come along on our trip tomorrow? its 270 miles from the Springs and through the mountains! :)

Not sure that I'm totally out for right now...so don't count me out (completely). I just took a gander at your route. Looks interesting. And yeah, I know that bone you wanna pick with Stove Prairie. Going North on that road gives you a whole different perspective and the corners aren't "as blind" as when you are going South on it, so it's just a tad more fun.

It ain't the powder that I'll be needed, but one helluva massage...and well...yeah...

So, I'll let ya know. I still have your number. I'll give ya a call Sunday after I get back from the ride.

6/1 - Wish I could but family obligations. Plus I have learned that Weekday rides rule. If I only get to pull the "ride all day" card once per week with the wife, it will be on a weekday.

Never. I know you! Let me know. It may be just us 2 cause Warren needs to get car tires :gay:

I will be riding one way or the other, but the route you picked out looks like a lot of fun so I would say go for it if you can!
