Forgive me if this is a "Duh" question. Heading to PMP on Tues and can someone tell me what tire pressure I should use for stock Bridgestones for a 07 GSXR 750? I've gotten different suggestions.

read the side of your tire.

Usually, you'll want to start at about 32 psi(cold) for street tires on the track, to allow them to heat up quickly, dropping pressure 1/2 pound at a time until you get them to stick. Standard street pressures will give longer life, but the tires will have MUCH less traction. I wouldn't go much lower than 28 psi, as stability and steering effort will become issues. It is important to use a guage with good accuracy and repeatability(not a 2.99 pencil type). Have Fun!

read the side of your tire.

Thats the max the tire is safe to be inflated too.

Ya nice bike! I ran 32 front and 34 rear on mine but as mentioned the pressure will change throughout the day as the temp goes up on the track. Just about any shop will have a really nice gauge (around $25.00) and they are worth every penny.

Hey Brian,

I think your bike has BT014's on it. If so, when I had them on the duc street bike and had it at the track I was running 30 rear, 31 front with them cold and that seemed to work well.

It's important to note that these are COLD pressures. That means that you've essentially rolled the bike out of the trailer and set the tire pressure. DO NOT adjust the tires to these pressures after being on the track and the tires are hot.

The pressure marked on the side of the tire is the max pressure for the max load that that tire can carry and should not be used as an inflation pressure, especially not for the track.

+1 on the get a good gauge plan.

Have fun tomorrow!

I ended up doing 30 rear and 31 front and had no problems. Going to try and get one more trackday Friday out of the tires.
