..up lefthand canyon..my buddy ( who is no squid) trashed his honda on the decreasing radius OH SHIT corner..a previous bike wreck had left oil across the whole lane going uphill towards Ned / Ward. There was no clean up from the incident...and thats why he surmised he went down .well..plus he studied the area of carnage. Bugger..
be careful up there.

Too bad we don't have a system where we can "pin point" stuff like this on a map. Then, when someone is going out for a ride they can check the map for hazards and updates.

Thanks for the heads up and hope your friend is AOK.

Dayum! Hope he's okay.

Even without oil it, that turn sneaks up on me everytime. Good to know, I was gonna go ride it in a half hour.

Ditto, hope he's ok. Bugger on the bike and wrecking, too.

First time I was in that corner, I was like "OH SHIT! Lean more!!!" Next time I was in that corner (with Chad), I was like "Oh yeah...oh shit! Weeeeee..." Last time I was in that corner, going uphill, I was like, "Ouch! Farking bee!" Good thing I had slowed anyway because of a car, cuz I couldn't lean my head worth diddly...the bee was right at the base of my helmet on the back of my neck and I didn't want to squish it up against my head anymore than it already was squished.

Oh and here's the bugger corner you speak of. I think it's corner #2 you are referring to...

If someone who had access to a server to share a file and wanted to dedicate the time to save the comments volunteered Google Earth could be used and everyone could see the updated notes that were emailed to that person.

I can provide the first half on my server (edj.net). I already host a bunch of 2 stroke and RG500 resources. I have no time to maintain the data though. Easy enough to setup web space with ftp access though if someone else wants to volunteer for the hard part.

Google Maps has a My Maps feature where you can set it up to allow anyone to add markers, comments, website links and even pictures.

This map should be editable by anyone....

that corner to this day remains to be my bane.
for whatever reason i forget it is coming up everytime.
sometime soon i'm gonna go up there and place some type of marker as a reference point for me.
then i'm gonna practice that phucker till i get it right.
it also doesn't help that i am always following a faster rider../;

There are a few corners that could use a "slow MC" sign on them.

If google maps is viewable over the web as far as added markers without having to serve and share files that would be the way to go.

so since it would be too hard to do that.
here is my attempt at such a thing.

i'm sure some of us don't have the mental capacity(self included) to remember that the decreasing radius turn on left hand is the second one marked with 20MPH.
i decided to remind myself in the only fashion i knew how!!!

if you see this flourescent orange tape and you are running hot....it may already be too late!!!

the oil stain is still there, but it does not feel all that slick to me from a test with my boot, but may still be slick enough for any rider rolling through it!!
