View Full Version : Draggin Jeans vs. mesh pants???

Okay, so I rode to work again this morning wearing my Hein Gericke ballistic nylon pants (the kind that don't breathe) over my jeans and my legs were just too hot.

I've been debating getting Draggin Jeans (http://www.dragginjeans.com/) with the kevlar lining in the knees and ass, but I'm afraid they won't survive more than 1 crash (Paul crashed in a pair, and because they don't have any protection on the side of the leg, he got some road rash).

I can get mesh pants for not much more money, then I can wear them over my jeans, and they're more likely to survive a crash (plus if I crash in mesh pants, I probably won't be pantsless like I would be if the Draggin Jeans got shredded   ).I'm thinking about the Fieldsheer pants (http://www.fieldsheer.com/products.php?display=titanium-air-pant)) to match my new Fieldsheer jacket (http://www.fieldsheer.com/php/images/product_images/products_04.jpg).

Anybody have any experience with either of these? I'm looking for something to wear to commute and go on casual rides with.

Thanks

I wouldnt get the draggin jeans just cuz they have very very little padding on the knees and hip area. I have some Joe Rocket textile pants that work really good. But Joe Rocket also makes some that are mesh and have all the padding! You should check those out.
