So, I was experiencing some fierce vibration as of late when applying moderate to hard braking pressure (ie, quick and/or hard stops). I called Erico since the bike was still under warranty, and they gave me this rigmarole about "check for glazing, etc.". I figured they were just trying to get out of checking the torques on the steering stem, forks, etc.

Well, lo and behold, I pull the pads this morning, and they are glazed over to all GET OUT....

Any tips for removing this shit? Grit of sand paper? Belt sander or just hand pressure? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! :)

Medium grit sand paper or sanding stone, or a hone. You will also want to get the glazing off your rotors.

Hone the rotors and also make sure the rotors are straight.
