If I had to wager a guess, I'm thinking it's new road rash that hadn't started bleeding yet. She probably went down on her elbow then rolled up to the wrist on the way over.

Have you ever taken a real good digger and looked at rosey red skin and waited for it to start bleeding? That happened to me the last time mountain biking up at Keystone.

I agree w/Salsa & thought the same thing w hen I saw it. Looks like she landed on her elbow/forearm & was then pulled forward onto her hand.
