Now THAT is a definite single seat bike!

I wonder if they're going to continue the RSV-R/Factory series for 'regular' folks to buy too?

I miss my '03. I still want that one (or one just like it) back.

One is the street version that will be available to the public. The other is the factory racebike that they have been testing.

The return of the V-4 in a sportbike... I hope Honda is paying attention.

I'm betting we'll see Clarkie on one of these next year. :)

Trim?
The brakes, suspension, wheels, exhaust, and even the frame are different.
(Though it's hard to be sure on the frame since it's a different profile.)

+1 about Honda. Would be nice to have a more "accessable" version out there.

And to hell with Clarkie.... look forward to seeing ME on one next season.
(Till they make me get off it and ban me from the showroom.)

Well... as long as you don't "Bertha" the bike in the showroom, they may only kick you out for a day or two...

I highly doubt it, The engine that is in the current RSVR/Factory is a Rotax and I do believe the contract expires this year. Though I wish they would continue to sell them...

Looks like I'll just have to get another bike sooner than the wife expects

Contract ended and from my understanding the rsv4 is prices the same as the factory, and around $18,000.00

If that bike runs anywhere near as good as it looks it should be a missle.

I especially like the shape of the tank. Too cool.

Yeah a bit too steep for me but it wouldn't surprise me if that came to be the price of a non factory model....with the factory being in the low 20's.

So.....

I really want one, so I called my friendly Aprilia Dealer to see what it took to get on the waiting list.

He said they didn't have firm commitment on pricing or delivery yet, but that he'd heard maybe as much as 40K.

At 18 I might have to have one...at 40 it's out of reach for me.

chad23
Thu Sep 25th, 2008, 08:57 AM
is that just because of demand for one? wow that would suck, cause i cant aford that. Well now that duc aint lookin so bad now

There's a lot of speculation going around on the price right now, but I don't think there will be an official price announcement until the dealer meeting on the 27th. So you might want to give your friendly aprilia dealer a call in about 3 or 4 days for a more definite price. It'll definitely be out of my price range till I get out of school, so if anyone gets one you gotta let me go on a ride with ya.
