I知 thinking to take 9/29 off if the weather will be nice and do the p2p, it will be my first time. I remember reading that they were planning to fix the road so I知 wondering if someone did p2p recently and can tell me the road condition and how the weather is.

Any other idea for a nice ride before the winter kicks in? If someone wants to join you guys are more then welcome.

The road has been repaved in spots. It's kinda wierd, but the repaving is in areas where it really needed it. It's a good road still. There's lots of scenery and spots where you'll get to see some good color changing.

I may join you, but will have to wait to see what the weekend brings first.

Peak to peaks road conditions are nothing to write home about. I doubte it has been compleatly re done, parts have been but not all of it. Co-7 is still gods gift to bike riders

There are still corners on P2P at the southern half that are washboardy, but at least the rim killing potholes are gone. (till spring anyway)

yea, use a watchful eye, he told us last weekend (while pulled over) that is one of the roads they heavily target for motorcyclists

I was lucky # 14 for Officer Robinson last weekend... P2p was good from Ned to Lyons. Alot police activity there. He told me that's due to all the fatal accidents this year....
Hwy 72 isn't a bad run either....

I was up on the P2P on Saturday and didn't see any cops. I'm on the P2P quite often and rarely see any cops. I've been lucky enough to never meet the infamous Officer Robinson. I guess I go at the right time of day - while they are taking a donut break. :yumyum:

The road is in great shape north of Ned. There is a short stretch just south of Ned that still sucks with a lot of washboard and tar snakes.

HMMM sport bikers have been raisen hell on p2p for the 19 years I've been ridding it. The road is funner then a shedevil at a buck 20 and I don't think Mr. Robinson has turbo or nos or anything like that. He figures if your only doing 20 over your probly gonna stop. Any way there are several good canyon roads off P2P. They all have challenging curvs, sand, Deer and every other obstical known to man. Have fun be safe don't speed (or speed greatly).

I'm new out here and have hit up 7, 72, 119 and eventually 103 the past few weekends from foco. I have to say, 7 is the best overall road I have seen so far, although something more technical to drop the speed would be golden. The pavement on some parts of 72 and 119 leave something to be desired, but I guess it really wasn't meant to be a racetrack...

I haven't formally met Officer Robinson yet, that I know of. I was, however, politely told to have fun BUT be safe by a gentleman in blue while getting gas in Lyons. I listened to his advice...for the most part...

if you are up in foco then you should also try 14/cr27/and devils gulch from drake to estes to name a couple. cr27 out of masonville flows nicely and devils gulch will have you hard on the binders

P2P is an awesome ride, just not twisty enough! The side roads can be a blast though.
