Well, the title says it all. Did the 1991 GSXR have an aluminum or steel frame? Any material difference (one steel the other alum) between the 750 and the 1000?

"Cough*....use a magnet....*cough!

I'm 99.9% sure EVERY Gixxer (of any displacement) since the original '85 750 uses an aluminum frame. Only the Kan-a-Tuna's had the steel frames.

P.S. You're still a hamster-f#cker though......

GSXR750s ALL have aluminum frames 85 to date. The 1100 frame is a bit different (beefier, has mounting points for the airbox trim panels), but the 1100 motor is basically a bolt in in the 750 frame. The 90-91 750 frame is shorter than the 1100 the same years, with .5 degree less rake.

There is an idea. I wish I had thought of that. :) Now all I need is a 200 mile long arm. I can't ask the person who's bike it is either, so don't bother with that suggestion too.
