That is a good loop I have ridden many times, however at the end I would come back from 119 either on hwy 72 (Coal Creek canyon) or hwy 46 (Golden Gate canyon). Hwy 6 (Clear Creek canyon) has too much traffic from the casinos in Blackhawk/Cripple Creek. Both of the suggested routes end at Hwy 93 which you can take south to 6 to get back home

I'd recommend staying off Highway 72 through Coal Creek Canyon. I was on it today and it's got a lot of sand on it now. No fun.

+1 I was on it in the afternoon and my rear tire stepped out twice on me. Upper Coal Creek between Pinecliff & Wondervu is deceptively slippery.

Not a bad loop, but I'd recommend taking it the opposite way, then hitting 7 west towards peak to peak & then down again. That's a good fun route that's pretty similar to what we did Sat.

it was as good as I couldve hoped for.

so this was my loop ^^^

i didnt leave till around 330 or 4 since i slept in with my gf and of course she took forever to get ready and ate lunch with me at snail pace

I wore my alpinestars t stunt 2 jacket with the liner and a long tshirt underneath. helmet with the skullskin fabric and hawk. my gp alpinestars leather/carbon gloves ... and my ghetto chucks with ankle guards underneath, and jeans.. oh and retardedly... my chrome visor..

NOT ENOUGH... i was freezing by 6 PM about 10 miles from nederland.... i seriously thought i was going to have to stop... i made it to rollinsville and drank a cappucino something at a gas station and then booked it back home...

my eyeballs freezing from keeping the visor half open so i could see (especially ebcause there are no street lamps in the middle of the mtns... the altitude made it even colder... and i was on a road i had never even heard of til la few days before...

once i got to black hawk there were enough cagers around it actually made it feel warmer as we all snaked through the canyon toawrd hwy 6.

but here are some pics!
the road was a little sandy in some spots,,, which did scare the crap out of me a few times as i caught myself powersliding with no intention of doing so...
