There is no right or wrong way. I've never heard any manufacturer prescibe a specific break in.
Ride like you normally do. It won't make any difference in the longevity of your system.

What did you get and what did you put it on?

There is no break in for an exhaust (that I have ever heard of), so do what ever you like.

Just ride the bitch. No mechanically moving parts to wear in.

I was told that riding it too hard would burn up the packing. The reason im asking is cuz i dont know.

Break in for a slip on? Now I've heard everything.

I hope you broke in your frame sliders, too. Maybe your keyring as well.

Make sure you grease you muffler bearings and change your blinker fluid too.

In all seriousness, the only "don'ts' I have ever heard in regards to a slip on exhaust is not to dyno a bike with a carbon fiber can. Supposedly it is possible to burn up the carbon fiber shell. Even then, I think that is a worst case scenario type of situation.

:wtf: :bs: My R6 has a CF can & we dyno'd it, several times, with no problems. CF cans actually don't get as hot as metal ones.

CF is very heat resistant, so it shouldn't be a problem to run it on a dyno at all.

As far as "breaking in" an exhaust system, it shouldn't be at all necessary. Bolt it on and run it. Take a few minutes with the bike on the stand at idle and fairings off to check for leaks at slip joints.

:? I gave you serious feed back....and a humor feed back. :)

I would seriously shoot Micron an email. They would have to know stuff like that. I personally dont see why it would need a break in because of the lack of moving parts deal, but you never know.
