Damn the monster looks an awful lot like a MV Agusta Brutale...guess Ducati should just re-hire Tamburini and let him design the bikes. They would be YEARS ahead

Overall, I like the mean naked look, but I think the brake and clutch reservoirs look like shite.

Looks to me like Ducati is feeling a little inadequate next to the Brutale and Superduke... I like it, but it doesn't scream Ducati at me, and with a Ducati isn't that part of the appeal?

Looks good, need to hide the hoses on the left side though.

170 at the crank, still down about 10hp to the 4's, in spite of the 20% increase in displacement.

vs a 100% increase in number of cylinders

Hopefully the torque numbers can take up some of the HP lacking

Wellllll, right, but displacement is still the metric for almost all class structure rules. In F1, for instance, before they went and screwed up the engine formula, they had a 3L displacement limit. Period. Ferrari had a 12, and Ford had a V8. Each had it's strong and weak points, and it made for more exciting racing as you knew this would be a factor at different tracks (power vs. torque/economy), plus the big added bonus was the major difference in sound. You KNEW the Ford and Ferrari had different engines.

Like I posted before about the Mfg titles in WSB being tremendously skewed in favor of Ducati, still, there needs to be some more equalization in the formula.

The grey 1198S looks a lot like the F4s Senna. Separated at birth?
