So one of my builders was left witht h tank open and the whole inside has some rust on it. What is the best way to get rid of it?

Try this...
Tank goop (http://www.caswellplating.com/aids/epoxygas.htm)

or this...
More goop, probably better. (http://www.prp-porshop.com/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=CTRK&Category_Code=TankSealers)

Performance has a kit to do away with tank rust...I think it’s called Kreem. It’s a two-part process: first is an acid bath that cleans and prepares the surface; the second is the sealant. It’s smelly and messy, but it works.

It is called Kreem. I've also heard that this is good stuff.

I was told not to seal the tank with kreme due to the fact that over a long period of time the stuff starts to come off and the particles can clog the fuel system. Dunno. I just want to get rid of the rust in the tank. As long as I keep gas in it I shouldn't have to seal it.

You can buy the acid solution separately, and it’s not bad compared to the sealant step.
