Meh, I know a few guys on my 1000rr board that took it for a test ride at Indy and they'd much rather have a stock 1000RR (the '08) and 10k in the bank. The new R1 is supposed to be just as good as the new honda as well....sexy looking though!

That bike is hot, I would love to test ride it first. sometimes bike that good handles like shit in everyday type riding. I hear that the 1098 and f4 have that problem. great on the track but not as good and friendly on the street. Just what I've heard

Actually, every comparison test I've read about the RC8 gives it the nod to streetability over the 1098. The opinion of the testers is that the RC8 is a more comfortable bike due to more adjustability in controls.

I don't see one in my garage any time soon, but as far as exotic bikes are concerned, this one is at the top of my list.

good to know, and I too would love that bike in the garage, but to be honest I would first like the Aprilia rsv4 first.

Matter of fact, either this months or last months edition of Motorcyclist did the comparison of the RC8 vs 1098.

I did not fully read the article two nights ago so it is still on my coffeetable. I believe the outcome was something like the RC8 is limited quantity and cool and no shames in owning it but the Duc was better. they did mention it was a great alternative to the Ducati crowd...
